Our client, a prominent player in the sustainable energy sector, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Renewable Energy Analyst to join their fully remote team. This position is essential for driving strategic initiatives in the development and integration of renewable energy sources. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of energy markets, policy landscapes, and technological advancements in solar, wind, and other renewable technologies. You will conduct in-depth research, financial modeling, and feasibility studies to support project development and investment decisions. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on renewable energy trends, technologies, and policies.
• Develop sophisticated financial models to assess the economic viability and investment potential of renewable energy projects.
• Perform site feasibility studies, resource assessments (solar irradiance, wind speeds), and environmental impact analyses.
• Analyze energy policy, regulations, and incentives at local, state, and federal levels to identify opportunities and risks.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project development teams, engineering consultants, and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing renewable energy assets.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovative solutions in the renewable energy sector.
• Support due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of team expertise.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the energy sector, with a specific focus on renewable energy analysis and development.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling (DCF, LCOE), quantitative analysis, and data interpretation.
• Strong understanding of solar, wind, and other renewable energy technologies.
• Familiarity with energy market dynamics, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Python, R) and modeling tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience with GIS software or other spatial analysis tools is a plus.
