**The Wolf Research Group at the Stanford PULSE Institute seeks candidates for a research associate position**
We are seeking a candidate to join the our group ( within the Stanford PULSE Institute ( at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory as a research associate. Our research focuses on investigations of ultrafast photochemical dynamics in isolated molecules using state-of-the-art experimental methods, with the goal of understanding coupled electron-nuclear dynamics during photochemical processes in the excited states of organic molecules. This requires experiments with femtosecond time resolution and atomic spatial resolution. We are pushing this frontier using the unique facilities of SLAC, the x-ray free electron laser LCLS ( and the megaelectronvolt ultrafast electron diffraction facility ( . LCLS has recently completed a major upgrade to LCLS-II increasing its repetition rate to 1 MHz. Our group is deeply embedded in the highly collaborative and inspiring research environment of PULSE institute. Additionally, we are affiliated with the chemical sciences department at LCLS.
The candidate will investigate gas phase ultrafast molecular dynamics by time-resolved soft X-ray spectroscopy and diffraction experiments exploiting the transformative opportunities of LCLS-II.
**Note:** This is a 12-month fixed term position with the possibility of extension. Research Associates are engaged with the design, support, operation and/or scientific development of the major programs of the laboratory, under the guidance of their supervisor. They are expected to work with a significant degree of independence on one or more specific tasks in support of the research program, frequently interacting with the laboratory¿s scientific community.

Stanford School of Medicine, in collaboration with the Stanford Center on Early Childhood , an initiative of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning , seeks a full time Research Coordinator to join our team. This position will be assisting in an evaluation of a guaranteed basic income and systems alignment in San Mateo County.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Stanford School of Medicine seeks a full-time Research Coordinator to support in recruiting new mothers to participate in our study. The evaluation seeks to determine if coordinating systems or providing a Guaranteed Basic Income for mothers improves long-term outcomes, both in health and early childhood development, in comparison to the standard of care received as a MediCal patient in San Mateo County.

Under direct supervision of Dr. Ryan Padrez at the School of Medicine, and in close collaboration with the Baby Bonus and San Mateo County Program Manager at the Stanford Center on Early Childhood, the Research Coordinator will recruit participants at Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospita l by determining the eligibility of mothers for the study, explaining the study to interested candidates, and enrolling consenting participants. Research Coordinators will randomize patients into one of three cohorts, and coordinate with Community Health Workers to ensure patients are connected to appropriate resources and support for the Coordinate Care portion of the evaluation. Following protocol guidelines, Research Coordinators will conduct surveys using RedCap with patients both in the hospital and throughout the study, documenting study materials and communications within appropriate systems, conduct qualitative interviews, and review survey answers.

The Research Coordinator will contribute to writing reports and documentation, and conduct literature reviews to understand the current landscape of Guaranteed Basic Income Pilots and Care Coordination when necessary. They will manage project tasks while maintaining open and transparent communication with the Baby Bonus/SMC Program Manager.

  • Contribute to the development and administration of survey instruments.

Duties may include: meeting planning and support, coordinating research activities with internal and external partners for recruitment, enrollment, data gathering, and administering survey instruments, while exercising independent initiative and judgment. Duties include: Contribute to the development and administration of survey instruments. Meeting planning and support (scheduling, agenda develop, notetaking, and other tasks as necessary) Keep track of project plans and budgetary expenditures to help ensure that projects are completed on-time and within budget. Schedule research team meetings and update project plans and associated tasks according to meeting discussions and outcomes.
