Job Summary:

The UX Researcher will work within the Design department alongside the Industrial Design team to apply UX and human factors research methods to develop a deep understanding of the user mental model and work cycles, develop actionable insights, and develop or refine tools that will be shared with designers, engineers, and UX Practitioners. The **Researcher Senior** will be responsible for executing health services research studies in order to identify and solve pressing healthcare issues as part of Elevance Health's Public Policy Institute.

+ Strong study design and statistical analysis skills.
+ Proficiency with one or more statistical applications (SAS, R, etc.).
+ Post-graduate or post-doctoral training in conducting health services research with experience in biostatistics, managed care, health care systems, health policy, or related experience is preferred.
+ Experience with health plan administrative databases (pharmacy and medical claims) and/or other big datasets is preferred.

User Experience Researcher Responsibilities:

  1. Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes related to technology and products.

  2. Conduct research using a wide variety of quantitative methods and a subset of qualitative methods, such as surveys.

  3. Collaborate with product teams to identify research topics and generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.

  4. Conduct research using a wide variety of quantitative methods through the lens of user experience, human-computer interaction, and information science.

  5. Oversee and design the user experience component to generate actionable insights.

  6. Incorporate user experience design, data, research, and user-computer technologies to develop and enhance experiences of products.

  7. Conduct applied product research, and/or focus on directly relevant research topics, to understand users’ behaviors, motivations and attitudes on using the products.

  8. Define the user model and brainstorm and research how humans use technology products and how products needs to be technologically and technically developed to meet user needs.

  9. Utilize their understanding of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistical concepts to design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes.

  10. Perform data analysis and utilize understanding of quantitative concepts to communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.

  11. Review existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research.

  12. Analyze user behavior data through a variety of channels, such as statistics, user testing, semi-formal interviews, observation, surveys, A/B testing and log analysis.

  13. Utilize their understanding of quantitative concepts to communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.

  14. Apply expertise in information science, UX design and human factors to brainstorm and create design objectives.

  15. Assess the user-interface or usability characteristics of Meta products for improvements.

  16. Design objects, studies, and environments to optimize human well-being and overall system performance, applying theory, principles, and data regarding the relationship between humans and computer technology.

  17. Collaborate cross functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing teams to complete projects they are assigned to.
