As a Family Dollar Store Associate, you'll be a vital part of our team, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized store. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks from stocking shelves to assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities

Stocking Shelves: Ensure shelves are fully stocked and organized, maintaining a clean and inviting shopping experience.

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them with finding products, and provide excellent customer service.

Cashier Duties: Operate cash registers, process payments, and handle returns.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.

Inventory Management: Help with inventory control, ensuring products are properly stocked and rotated.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to lift and move heavy boxes

Strong work ethic and commitment to quality

Experience in retail is preferred but not required

Job Functions :

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.

Responsibilities

Creates a friendly and welcoming environment by greeting and offering assistance to customers

Able to learn and adapt to current technology to assist customer needs

Delivers the highest level of customer service through effective problem solving

Solicits, opens and activates Kohls Charge applications and loyalty programs

Ensures that all cash handling procedures are done in accordance to policy and procedure

Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers

Flexible and willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed

Adherence to Kohl's policy and procedures
