Job Description
The Retail Parts Specialist will provide crucial support to the management team by enhancing sales, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, and overseeing store operations. In the absence of the Assistant or Store Manager, this position will take on shift management responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead team members in delivering outstanding customer service to both retail and professional customers.
- Monitor customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring adherence to customer service programs.
- Answer the phone promptly and in line with company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub, and store-to-store transfers efficiently, ensuring customers are informed of shipment arrivals.
- Manage special orders and outside purchases systematically, utilizing the electronic purchase order system.
- Handle retail customer returns and exchanges with efficiency and courtesy, ensuring accurate refunds and proper processing of returned merchandise.
- Verify all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced prior to leaving the store.
- Communicate important company messages and delegate merchandising tasks to team members.
- Ensure adherence to the posted work schedule and that any changes are approved.
- Conduct opening and closing duties, including financial procedures and securing the store.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Strong communication skills and ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Preferred: Experience in retail sales, particularly in auto parts, knowledge of automotive systems and repairs, ASE Certification, and fluency in Spanish.
