The Opportunity
The Part-time Retail Associate performs management-assigned duties, which may include but may not be limited to, stocking and maintaining a store section, carry-out services and store cleaning. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required:
- Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment
- Assure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes to validate proper rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases
- Prepare perishable products for sale as needed
- Set up advertising/promotional displays
- Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed by store management
- Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information
- When requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools
