Job Description

The Revenue Management Analyst evaluates and assesses sailing performance and revenue metrics to determine appropriate pricing and inventory actions needed to maximize ticket revenue growth and total occupancy. The incumbent in this role generates opportunity to monitor and evaluate market trends to understand the value of Carnival Cruise Lines' (CCL) products from a consumer's perspective and to accurately align pricing programs, placement, and availability within each market segment.
**Job Functions:**
+ Determines pricing and inventory for assigned CCL product portfolio to drive net ticket revenue. Formulates and implements optimal pricing and inventory practices and principles by utilizing a combination of analytics, experience, and best practices.
+ Analyzes the impact on booking demand due to changes in the competitive landscape (i.e., ship deployment, pricing, and strategy). Conducts internal and external competitor price analysis for awareness of current pricing and market trends.
+ Establishes tactical methodologies to optimize revenue and total occupancy at the market level and various booking channels (e.g., groups, opaque, etc.).
+ Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Sailing Support, and Reservations to ensure optimal pricing and inventory controls are adhered to.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, Marketing or a related field required
+ 3+ years of relevant work experience in Revenue Management or a similar analytical role required
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
+ Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of revenue management mathematical and statistical concepts, theories, principles and practices to collect and analyze data and construct solutions to business problems
+ Solid understanding and familiarity with various operational assets including the pricing system, inventory management capabilities, and reports detailing sailing performance

+ Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for properly recording reconciling sales and revenue transactions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The reconciliation will include gathering information and reviewing transactions and reconciling with banks, third party vendors, and other sources, and balancing the information in the general ledger.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily bank reconciliations.
  • Daily matching for reconciliation of 6 different banks.
  • Manage and process daily cash validation.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting errors with sales and deposits.
  • Resolve Vault services / Armored Car issues
  • Monitor all banking activities and detect irregularities.
  • Investigate all transactions to prevent fraud.
  • Provide feedback to the accounting department on how to improve internal controls, and pinpoint areas where risks relating to bank transactions can be minimized.
  • Provide documentation for the purpose of supporting all financial transactions.
  • Maintain required files, reports, and data information.
  • Reconcile and rectify all ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts that fall into receivable records with sales invoices.
  • Follows up all transactions continuously and provide updates to the management team.
  • Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities.
  • Support the accounting team in all activities related to month-end.
  • Support all other activities related to revenue analysis and others as requested by the supervisor.

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Possess knowledge of general and accounting principles and workings of the banking systems.
  • Must be detailed and accurate with work to ensure all reconciliations and recognition of revenue is correct.

**Job Overview**
The Area Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the maximization of revenue, profit, and market share associated with rooms and function space for multiple hotels. Position Summary:

As a Revenue Pricing Analyst, you will manage inventory, pricing, promotional offerings, and ticket revenue for our ships. By leveraging data sets and B.I. dashboards, you will help us understand booking trends and demand for our products.

You will identify opportunities for incremental revenue and will be given much decision-making authority.

Although the role is by nature analytical, our working environment is collaborative, and will require frequent coordination with multiple stakeholders - from people on your own team, to folks in other divisions including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Commercial Planning, and Data Science. You can expect ample opportunities for growth, inside and outside of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Optimize yields through data-driven inventory management and pricing strategies

Develop pricing and promotional strategies at different levels (ex. market, booking channel)

Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis.

Validate reports and data at different levels of granularity.

Quote incentive group and charter business opportunities.

Provide frequent performance updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.)

2 + years work experience, preferably in the Travel Industry with, pricing, and/or financial analysis

Proficiency in MS Excel (ex. Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and other MS Office applications Understanding of revenue management and/or basic economic concepts

Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data independently, and make data-driven decisions and/or recommendations.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple projects.

  • Valid drivers license required. Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned area. This position requires regular business travel mostly by car within a set geographic region.

Scope of Position
The Revenue Manager is responsible for working with the Revenue and Sales team in determining strategic goals and tactical efforts, which drive revenue to the hotel. The position is emphasized in overseeing the group segment and driving the hotel group strategy forward.
The Revenue Manager will participate in lead business evaluation activities, communicating group strategy and evaluating all group sales opportunities in partnership with the Sales Managers.
