Position Summary:

As a Revenue Pricing Analyst, you will manage inventory, pricing, promotional offerings, and ticket revenue for our ships. By leveraging data sets and B.I. dashboards, you will help us understand booking trends and demand for our products.

You will identify opportunities for incremental revenue and will be given much decision-making authority.

Although the role is by nature analytical, our working environment is collaborative, and will require frequent coordination with multiple stakeholders - from people on your own team, to folks in other divisions including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Commercial Planning, and Data Science. You can expect ample opportunities for growth, inside and outside of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Optimize yields through data-driven inventory management and pricing strategies

Develop pricing and promotional strategies at different levels (ex. market, booking channel)

Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis.

Validate reports and data at different levels of granularity.

Quote incentive group and charter business opportunities.

Provide frequent performance updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.)

2 + years work experience, preferably in the Travel Industry with, pricing, and/or financial analysis

Proficiency in MS Excel (ex. Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and other MS Office applications Understanding of revenue management and/or basic economic concepts

Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data independently, and make data-driven decisions and/or recommendations.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple projects.

  • Valid drivers license required. Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned area. This position requires regular business travel mostly by car within a set geographic region.

Overview

Optimize room and catering revenue through the development and implementation of effective inventory management and pricing strategies. Monitor all distribution channels to ensure effective selling.   • Optimize RevPAR by analyzing/forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, and optimal market mix, including group, transient, wholesale catering revenues etc.
  • Manage and update current selling strategies and product information in all available distribution channels/reservation sources (onsite, third-party reservation providers, call centers, websites, GDS, etc.)
  • Facilitate Daily and Weekly Sales and Revenue Strategy meetings.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analyses to ensure proper rate positioning and product offering relative to competition.
  • Actively participate in budgeting and business planning for the Food and Beverage department including Catering, and any other revenue generating department.
  • Work with the Regional Director of Revenue Management in recommending and implementing of Revenue Management programs and new initiatives at the hotel.
  • Active participant in all pricing decisions for transient, group, and wholesale segments.
  • Work with the hotel DOSM and hotel team to establish strategies to increase revenue of both rooms and catering.
  • Contribute to the financial success of the hotel via participation in annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan process.
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports and present results from all segments including internet channels.
  • Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels, in all market segments.
  • Continually monitor all pertinent travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least five years revenue management experience, sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance or relevant field of work preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify relevant data and use it to draw inferences with reference to impact on hotels revenues.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a constantly changing market with a revenue positive effect.

EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end product ownership, product management, or delivery of data or optimization platforms.
  • Experience working across Data Engineering, Data Science, and UI Development teams, as well with multiple stakeholders and brand Revenue Management teams.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Industry experience in cruise, travel, or enterprise data systems is a plus.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Exposure to revenue management, pricing systems, or forecasting tools is preferred
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and iterative development
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ML model lifecycle, and modern UI patterns
  • Ability to define and refine user stories across technical and business domains
  • Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and backlog management tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills
  • Understanding of change management principles and user adoption strategies
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification preferred
  • Product Management or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
