Job Description
We are looking for a growth driven Salesperson to join one of our partners in the construction space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and providing exceptional customer service. In this role you will start by supporting crews in the shipping yard to establish great internal relationships, learning how the company operates, and growing your knowledge in the construction industry. You will be responsible for full cycle sales, which average 2-3 months, and owning your business. Your client base will be partners like large contractors, infrastructure, and large scale construction companies. It is an expectation in this role for salespeople to be outside the office and meeting onsite with their clients at construction sites. This role pays up to 75k with a competitive commission structure where most reps within 2 yrs are making up to 150k in commissions alone.

Your Responsibilities

Position Overview:

This is an outside sales position working in your own assigned sales territory. We will train you to call on small and medium-sized businesses that operate in a variety of industries, meeting face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers to offer some of the industry's best supplemental insurance products and services to them and their employees. You will work with business owners, benefits managers, and their employees individually at times; other times, you will give product presentations with employee groups as large as 50-100+ people. You will be expected to:
  • Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients
  • Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients to review their needs
  • Be present on scheduled calls or meetings with your sales team or manager
  • Call on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients who need to be reserviced: Selling Business to Business
  • Build and maintain your own book of business
  • Meet with sales team manager as needed to discuss and set your upcoming monthly and quarterly target sales goals and quotas
  • Develop relationships with local business owners in your territory
  • Set your own scheduled working hours and submit them to your sales manager each week
  • Follow up on provided sales leads and cold-call on businesses in person, balancing "cold" lead generation and sales with your warm leads and appointments with existing clients
  • Submit your sales metrics and activity daily

Additional Position Qualifications:
  • Already licensed in Health & Life general lines (or willing and able to obtain Health & Life producer license - licensing reimbursement offered)
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience. Candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion will be considered, as will candidates with less than 4 years of professional work experience who have relevant or specialized outside sales experience.

What You'll Do as a Rental Territory Sales Representative:

  • Develop new business and grow rental market share within a defined Southeast Texas sales territory
  • Represent Mustang Rental Services as an industry leader , communicating product features and advantages
  • Conduct customer site visits to provide tailored rental solutions and equipment recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and responsiveness
  • Generate quotes, proposals, and financing options using CRM and sales platforms
  • Stay up to date on CAT and non-CAT equipment , including aerial lifts , compressors , generators , and general rental tools
  • Meet and exceed territory sales goals through active prospecting and strategic account development

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business , Management , Technical , or related field

    • Equivalent experience considered in lieu of formal education


  • Demonstrated success in territory sales , especially in the rental equipment industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and product understanding
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment
  • Experience understanding equipment applications across construction, industrial, or municipal sectors
