Position Overview

The Lead Pipeline Solutions Account Manager is responsible for implementing and managing strategic and tactical plans that engage potential and current customers to advance Exact Sciences screening portfolio, inclusive of on-market and pre-market products. This role is responsible for developing and ensuring functional alignment for the promotional strategy, field force targeting, and field-executed marketing programs for screening portfolio. This role will represent the customer voice to internal stakeholders; including, but not limited to, clinical, legal, sales, finance, marketing, laboratory, and operations.

This position is field based.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead customer-facing efforts in all phases of the market development lifecycle; including, but not limited to, incubate, mature, and scale.
  • Align Exact Sciences objectives with customers’ objectives, appropriately ensuring Exact Sciences business goals are met.
  • Partner cross-functionally within the internal and external organizations; including, but not limited to sales, commercial development, medical affairs, IT, project management/implementation, billing, operations, to develop and execute pull through plans and serve as the customer-facing leader for assigned accounts.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain trusted relationships with all key decision makers to achieve favorable protocol adoption, and/or open access of screening portfolio.
  • Engage targeted accounts and KOL’s to gather meaningful insights that will help inform internal product strategy and positioning within the marketplace. 
  • Establish mechanisms to monitor product utilization, market share, and other key performance metrics within assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate product pricing and execute contracts for client-bill agreements.
  • Develop and execute business plans at the account level and perform routine business reviews with assigned accounts, as well as internal Exact Sciences stakeholders, to ensure acceptance of products, performance, and maximization opportunities.
  • Establish business plan objectives by product for targeted accounts within assigned geography; including, but not limited to, key tactical elements, budgets, and critical success factors.
  • Build and maintain a funnel of opportunities within the assigned targeted accounts.
  • Complete monthly to quarterly business reviews with targeted accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and complete account profiles, call notes, and histories.
  • Leverage company resources to provide the technical, clinical, and business expertise needed to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Promote an open, collaborative environment built on trust to foster positive teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or field related to the essential duties of the job.
  • 6+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in the healthcare space, such as diagnostics, surgical, or pharmaceutical verticals with progressively increasing responsibilities or scope to include leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority; successfully navigate access and selling to C-Suite, medical, quality, pharmacy, purchasing, laboratories within health systems, hospitals, employers, and/or government accounts.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding and business knowledge of targeted customers and the evolving dynamics of healthcare and the institutional environment’s impact on their decision-making. 
  • Demonstrated high learning agility and successful cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, invalid, etc. allowed. 
  • No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months. 
  • No alcohol or drug event in which a vehicle was driven by the candidate or employee, including but not limited to Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) failure, refusal to submit to alcohol or drug test, alcohol related suspension, etc. in the last 36 months.
  • No other results from the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check that exposes Exact Sciences to what Exact Sciences deems to be an unacceptable level of liability.

Salary Range:

$120,000.00 - $180,000.00 The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - MA - Boston on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.

Position Overview

The Strategic Account Manager orchestrates and executes the health system strategy and expanding patient access by forming partnerships across key stakeholders within the regional Independent Delivery Networks (IDNs), health systems and academic institutions in order to support the adoption of Exact Sciences solutions to enhance clinical decision making and improve the system of care.

This role will work collaboratively with other market stakeholders and Exact Sciences teams to shape and execute strategic plans in liaison with assigned IDNs to build the foundation for improved patient outcomes. 

This position is field based.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems comprising integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and the Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) aligned with that system in order to identify opportunities to enhance the system of care and deliver improved patient outcomes.

  • Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care in order to identify opportunities to work with HCPs to improve clinical decision making and deliver better patient and population health outcomes in the context of Exact Sciences future pipelines.
  • Build a network of relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare system in order to gain insight into system, customer and patient unmet needs, including clinical stakeholders, administrators and policy makers.
  • Synthesize data from a range of formal and informal sources to understand the evolving and dynamic local care system, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness and share with managed care, sales, marketing and other cross-functional colleagues.

2. Develop and implement business and customer plans to influence the system to deliver improved patient access and adoption of protocols and processes/workflow aligned with the vision for the healthcare system.

  • Create business and customer plans for IDNs based on opportunities to incorporate Exact Sciences current and future solutions to enhance clinical decision making and the effectiveness of the system of care.   
  • Lead the implementation of these business and customer plans in collaboration with a range of internal stakeholders including Cancer Screening Advocate (CSA), Medical Affairs and Marketing.
  • Build coalitions and advocacy through chains of influence based on a keen appreciation of the networks of relationships and connections that influence clinical decision making, including teaching hospitals and other sources of medical education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Science, or any other related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in navigating access/selling IDNs, health systems, or academic institutions in the sales and/or marketing field.
  • Proven success working with cross-functional and/or team environment.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, invalid, etc. allowed. 
  • No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months. 
  • No alcohol or drug event in which a vehicle was driven by the candidate or employee, including but not limited to Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) failure, refusal to submit to alcohol or drug test, alcohol related suspension, etc. in the last 36 months.

Position Overview

At Exact Sciences, we are cancer fighters. We are united by our mission to change lives by providing earlier, smarter answers. A Screening Solutions Specialist (SSS) is a front-line position in the fight against cancer. The SSS will drive product growth of Cologuard in medical practices to meet sales goals within the assigned geography and deliver diagnostic solutions by establishing the importance of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) diseases and screening.

This role aims to enhance customer relationships to drive growth and revenue while enhancing the system of care and deliver improved patient outcomes through integration of Exact Science’s solutions. We are Exact Sciences, come join the fight.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems and market landscape in order to identify opportunities to enhance the system of care and deliver improved patient outcomes through integration of Exact Science’s solutions.
    • Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care in order to identify account opportunities to work with HCPs to improve clinical decision making and deliver better patient and population health outcomes in the context of EXAS current and future pipelines.
    • Build a network of relationships within accounts in order to gain insight into system, customer and patient unmet needs, including clinical stakeholders and administrators, and diligently captures information on customer interactions using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, including point of contact (POC) information, sales call activities, market intelligence, funnel development and other data points.
    • Synthesize data from a range of formal and informal sources to understand the evolving and dynamic local care system, leveraging available tools and resources such as Engage (CRM), Excel, Tableau and available research to make data-driven decisions on account potential and opportunities in order to focus effort, including working across the Market team.
  • Develop and implement business and account plans to increase the visibility and awareness of the Company’s products and maximize opportunities and sales growth.
    • Create business and account plans based on opportunities to drive acceptance of Cologuard and other Exact Sciences solutions to enhance clinical decision making and the effectiveness of the system of care.
    • Lead the implementation of these business and customer plans to devise and implement customer-specific pre-and post-call engagement approaches that evaluate and address customer needs, in collaboration with a range of internal stakeholders including Screening Advocate (SA), Medical Affairs and Marketing.
    • Inform, educate and enable target physician and stakeholder groups about Exact Sciences products and value propositions to equip them to make informed decisions about treatment choices and patient resources and highlight the importance of screening to the customer, drawing on approved clinical studies and marketing aids.
    • Proactively drives business growth by focusing on customers with highest potential and proactively initiating connections to uncover unmet needs and opportunities.
    • Seeks regular feedback from customers about their experience, service, satisfaction and perceived value of working with Exact Sciences.
  • Leads the successful implementation of account plans through collaboration and coordination with key internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies, enhance customers satisfaction, improve patient outcomes and business opportunities for Exact Sciences.
    • Ensures execution of targeted tactics to deliver business goals in coordination and orchestration with a wider range of internal cross-functional stakeholders, including Account Managers, Area Manager, Marketing, Sales Operations and Internal Sales Support.
