**Job Summary**
The Representative of the Sanford Health will provide effective and efficient handling of phone calls from or to Sanford Health members, providers, and colleagues ensuring a positive experience for all members in a fun and fast-paced atmosphere. Quickly assess the level of complexity of cases and provide resolution or facilitate escalation of phone call inquiries. **Job Summary**
Utilizes scientific rationale to design, implement and supervise exercise programming for those with chronic diseases, conditions or physical limitations. Provides physical conditioning, reconditioning, risk factor reduction, and education by prescribing, conducting, and evaluating cardiovascular and metabolic exercise programs and physical exercise under the supervision of a physician. Researches acute and chronic physiological adaptations to physical activity, gaining a full understanding of how a chronic disease affects an individual prior to recommending exercise. Analyzes a patient's medical history to assess their risk during exercise and to determine the best possible exercise and fitness regimen for the patient.
Performs fitness and stress tests with medical equipment and analyzes the resulting patient data. Measures blood pressure, oxygen usage, heart rhythm and other key patient health indicators. Develops exercise programs to improve patient's health. Conducts controlled investigations of responses and adaptations to muscular activity. Performs dietary intake assessments and counsels on modifications needed, referring to dietitian as necessary in order to achieve goals. Depending on location, may perform 12 lead EKGs/monitors.
Conducts weight management assessments and calculates body mass index (BMI) to determine proper category; develops goals for weight loss. Interprets values of lipid tests such as low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), total cholesterol, and triglycerides. Assists with diabetes management and tobacco cessation programs. Develops risk reduction and behavior modification plans to minimize future risk of chronic diseases and illness.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in exercise science, kinesiology, human performance and fitness human biology or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience in exercise program planning and working with chronic diseases and illness preferred. Possesses a thorough understanding of the physiological basis of activity and the ability to prescribe and instruct exercise according to American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) guidelines.
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CCEP) certification within two years of hire preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within 60 days of hire required.
Depending on location, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the first year of hire preferred.

Job Summary

Performs cardiac tests and monitors patient heart functions using diverse cardiology equipment. Checks, calibrates, and maintains cardiology equipment to ensure proper operation and accurate test results. Alerts nurses or physicians of critical values, abnormalities, or changes in patient responses. In some departments, employees will monitor multiple patients at the same time while critically interpreting rhythms and communicating concerns effectively with staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent is required.

Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology. Working knowledge of basic and intermediate life threatening cardiac rhythms, special equipment used in cardiac testing, computers, and medical terminology.

Must meet a minimum of one of the following criteria dependent on facility or department requirements needs as it may vary by needs:

1. Possess Certified Cardiographic Technician

2. Associate’s degree or higher in a health science field

3. Three years’ experience as a cardiac technician

4. Obtain Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring certification (CRAT) within one year into position. The department will determine which certification is appropriate per the department workflows.

Assists in collecting and preparing departmental needs for data transformation. Responsible for hearing aid charts as well as filing paperwork associated with hearing aid and ear mold sales and repairs. Assists in tasks including, but not limited to: answering telephones, scheduling of appointments, taking payments, verifying personal data and insurance, checking in and out of scheduled clients, completing work-queue scheduling, sanitizing of equipment, and patient areas. Ensure the integrity of all inventory, equipment and supplies, including: availability, repairs, restocking, ordering, cleaning, and that accessories are plugged in and charged for use.

Completes and maintains all continuing education requirements annually assigned. Maintains knowledge of care, use and maintenance of hearing aids.

Job Summary

Responsible to improve access to patient care by increasing availability of audiology services; increasing productivity and enhancing patient satisfaction. Participate in care in a unique healthcare setting, which are characterized by efficient, focused care of patients. Works seamlessly with audiologists, physicians, nurses and front line staff, to serve our patients efficiently. Consistently demonstrates the ability to provide appropriate services and care in accordance with the unique needs inherent to patient's age and culture. Assists in hearing aid and ear mold sales and repairs while managing all hearing aid paperwork associated. Provide comprehensive technical support with the audiologists to patients with hearing deficits. Assist with hearing conservation programs. Prepare audiograms, as well as after testing, ensure audiogram is entered for hearing aid fittings. Completes comprehensive hearing assessments using age appropriate testing methods and equipment as directed by physician or audiologist. Performs hearing tests, computer testing of hearing aids, sell and adjust hearing aids. Provides counseling of care, use and maintenance for all hearing aid fittings. Follow up calls to clients fit with hearing aids. Act as support staff for the Audiologist. Will be responsible for in-service at nursing homes, if requested.

Assists in collecting and preparing departmental needs for data transformation. Responsible for hearing aid charts as well as filing paperwork associated with hearing aid and ear mold sales and repairs. Assists in tasks including, but not limited to: answering telephones, scheduling of appointments, taking payments, verifying personal data and insurance, checking in and out of scheduled clients, completing work-queue scheduling, sanitizing of equipment, and patient areas. Ensure the integrity of all inventory, equipment and supplies, including: availability, repairs, restocking, ordering, cleaning, and that accessories are plugged in and charged for use.

Completes and maintains all continuing education requirements annually assigned. Maintains knowledge of care, use and maintenance of hearing aids.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodology needed to perform duties associated with providing audiometric testing. Knowledge of care, use and maintenance of hearing aids. Interpretation of audiogram and tympanogram is helpful.

Licensed as a Hearing Aid Dispenser in the state(s) of practice through the appropriate state licensure board required.

**Job Summary**
The Cardiac Technician conducts a wide range of non-invasive cardiac tests, under direct supervision, for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs cardiac tests and monitors patient heart functions using diverse cardiology equipment. As needed per department, employees place electrodes correctly for an electrocardiogram (EKG) machine or telemetry (holter) monitoring and operate machines correctly. Checks, calibrates, and maintains cardiology equipment to ensure proper operation and accurate test results. Provides care and counseling for cardiac patients to ensure their comfort and safety during cardiac tests and treatments. Alerts nurses or physicians of critical values, abnormalities, or changes in patient responses. Obtains and records patient information and medical histories; interprets electrocardiogram (EKG) results and generates factual written reports. In some departments, employees will monitor multiple patients at the same time while critically interpreting rhythms and communicating concerns effectively with staff.
**Qualifications**
High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology. Working knowledge of basic and intermediate life threatening cardiac rhythms, special equipment used in cardiac testing, computers, and medical terminology.
Must meet a minimum of one of the following criteria dependent on facility or department requirements needs as it may vary by needs:
1. Possess Certified Cardiographic Technician
2. Associate's degree or higher in a health science field
3. Three years' experience as a cardiac technician
4. Obtain Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring certification (CRAT) within one year into position. The department will determine which certification is appropriate per the department workflows.
