Job Description

Join our shipping & receiving team and use your knowledge to ensure you properly receive incoming material; maintain accurate accountability of receiving, additions and deletions for materials from the record. Prepare product for shipment according to specifications and/or customer requirements. Transport material internally. Execute standard procedures and assist Logistics team to fulfill tasks on time, every time. Provide ideas on how to improve processes in a strong continuous improvement environment. Assist to build a best-in-class service culture by driving positive Customer satisfaction. We offer a full benefits package that full-time team members are eligible for on day 1. The work schedule runs Monday through Friday with full-time hours being 10am-6:30pm plus overtime.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Transporting material
  • Picking and packing using a RF scanner
  • Shipping and receiving

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 1+ years of experience in shipping and/or receiving
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than seventy-five pounds (with assistance)
    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Summary

We are launching a dock leveler manufacturing facility in Imperial, PA. We are currently seeking a Material Handler to become an integral team member of the dock leveler business.

Major Responsibilities

  • Operate a fork truck – Pass Hörmann certification consisting of written and practical testing.
  • Maintains material handling equipment by noting and reporting any damage or malfunction.
  • Responsible for proper charging of electrical material handling equipment.
  • Loading/unloading of product and raw material to/from trailers.
  • Responsible to ensure material is delivered to appropriate workstations in a timely fashion.
  • Places incoming items in inventory.
  • A team member of the inventory team
  • Ensures proper placement of inventory and accuracy of inventory transactions and cycle counts.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 2+ years of material handling experience
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Proven Communication Skills.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Open and versatile in accepting and accomplishing a wide variety of tasks.

Department and Supervisor

  • The Material Handler will be a member of the Manufacturing team reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.

Travel

**Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
+ Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
+ Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment
+ Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Able to work within a diverse work environment
+ Highly thorough and dependable

**Responsibilities**
+ Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
+ Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
+ Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
+ Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
+ Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
+ Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**The Job You Will Perform:**
+ Responsible for the safe and timely operation of forklift trucks to load, unload, move, stack or haul products or finished goods in support of the production, warehousing, shipping and receiving operations and as directed by plant supervision.
+ Utilize a portable scanner system to track inventory and finished goods, inspect and clean the forklift on a daily basis, and operate all equipment according to all approved safety standards and procedures.
+ Maintain a safe work environment.
+ Safely and efficiently operate forklift to load, unload, move, stack or haul in materials or finished goods in support of the production operation.
+ Performing all duties as assigned by plant supervision.
+ Meet daily productivity and quality goals.
+ Maintain the cleanliness of assigned work areas.
**The Skills You Will Bring:**
+ Complete and pass advanced forklift certification testing.
+ Demonstrate knowledge and proven use of fork lift operator specific safety and operational rules and regulations.
+ Demonstrate the ability to successfully operate portable scanner equipment as needed.
+ Must be of reasonable mind and understanding to safely accept and complete job assignments and take direction.
+ Must maintain a reasonably clean and presentable appearance at all times.
+ Must maintain a good safety and attendance record.
+ Must have the ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs.
+ Must demonstrate body flexibility (ability to bend, stoop and squat).

As a Union Warehouse Material Handler, you will ensure products get where they need to be. You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory. Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so technology is required to perform this job. In this role you will:

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts
  • Receive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system process
  • Select, pack and palletize shipments
  • Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts
  • Maintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections

What you bring to the table:

  • No fear of heights
  • Perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testing
  • Minimum age of 18 required
  • Good attendance and work ethic
  • 2+ years experience preferred
  • Prior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferred

Work Shift and Hours:Monday - Friday, 1:30m - 10:00pm

Compensation Details:The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18.50 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information:

  • Steel toed boots required.
