- 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Conduct sample preparation using wet chemistry methods, including titrations, pH analysis, and solution formulation
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, chromatography tools, and benchtop reactors
- Perform routine instrument calibration, cleaning, and minor technical adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Support the setup and operation of pilot-scale systems, including Continuous Stirred Tank Reactors (CSTRs)
- Accurately document experimental data, observations, and conditions in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, scientists, and plant personnel to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication
- Preferred educational background includes an associate's or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field
- 1-3 years of practical experience in lab or pilot plant settings, whether through academic research or industry work

Job Responsibilities:
The Seed Laboratory Technician I supports the daily operations of the seed quality and health lab by assisting in sample preparation, testing, and greenhouse monitoring. This position performs basic laboratory tasks under supervision to ensure consistent testing, safety, and compliance with ISO quality standards.
Job Description:
+ Prepare buffers, reagents, and indicator plants for testing and grow-out assays.
+ Perform physical seed quality inspections and assist in seed health testing procedures.
+ Label and organize physical seed samples for traceability and analysis.
+ Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and greenhouse equipment safely.
+ Record data accurately and assist with documentation following ISO Quality Management Standards.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab and greenhouse areas.
+ Follow all company safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times.
Must Haves:
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ 1-3 years of related lab, agricultural, or production experience.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Work Environment
This is a 3-month seasonal contract position with potential for extension based on workload and performance. The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, Tuesday through Saturday. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for approximately 4-6 weeks before transitioning to the assigned shift. The facility is large with approximately 7 labs, focused on nutritional testing for various industries. It is a fast-paced production lab environment.
