The SEO Analyst will work with our existing SEO team to provide strategic SEO services for our clients. You will manage day-to-day SEO strategy creation and execution for an assignment of SEO campaigns. The ideal candidate should have strong verbal and written communication as everyone in our organization is client-facing. A positive attitude and the desire to go above and beyond for our clients and internal teammates is a must.

SEO Success metrics are based on overall growth in visibility, traffic, rankings, and conversions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable analyzing, creating, and presenting SEO strategies based on the data in our reports. The SEO Analyst will be required to present strategic SEO recommendations and detailed reports to clients on a monthly basis.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform duties and tasks as the dedicated analyst and point of contact for multiple SEO clients
  • Understand client objectives/goals and identify campaign optimization & expansion opportunities
  • Identify, create, test, and manage goal tracking efforts
  • Perform site health audits and recommendations for improvement
  • Provide A/B testing strategy & recommendations
  • Edit and optimize websites to improve UX, efficiencies, and conversion
  • Implement various SEO tasks onto client CMS platforms
  • Analyze Google Analytics and Search Console metrics and discern findings
  • Create monthly reports with analysis of performance & recommendations to improve
  • Communicate via email, Slack, and or video conferencing with clients
  • Foster and develop positive, long-term relationships with our clients and work to retain and grow clients year over year
  • Stay up to date on the latest SEO + digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices
  • Contribute to company (and occasionally client) blog(s) and internal marketing strategy
What You'll Need:
  • 1+ years of experience managing SEO campaigns for multiple clients is preferred but not required
  • Technical SEO knowledge and site migration experience is a plus
  • Experience with a variety of Content Management Systems (WordPress, Shopify, Craft, etc.) and other SEO tools
  • Google Analytics Certification (current) preferred
  • Moderate or advanced Microsoft Office + Google Workspace experience
  • Ability to generate comprehensive and cohesive marketing strategies
  • Ability to think critically and collaborate effectively with others
  • Strong time management & organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

We are looking for an experienced Sr. SEO Specialist to join a growing Global Digital team within the fast-paced marketing organization at Okta. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of technical SEO, web content strategy, and know how to leverage these disciplines to drive organic traffic on Okta.com, subdomains, and microsites. They will also need to be a strong communicator capable of working across diverse teams, which include highly technical and non-technical members, to reach our marketing goals and accomplish SEO objectives. A mindset of always improving and learning is vital, experience leading content strategy is helpful, and experience with the AEM platform is a big plus. Does this sound like you?

What you will do:

  • Report to the Sr. Manager of SEO within our Digital Acquisition Team
  • Create and communicate SEO strategy roadmaps with stakeholders and Okta leadership
  • Evangelize our SEO strategy across the marketing and broader company organizations
  • Lead SEO projects such as keyword research, content planning, and other internal SEO work
  • Monitor, report, improve, and test SEO efforts Okta ecosystem-wide
  • Lead efforts with our vendors to drive and maximize output
  • Work with content creators to identify gaps in content both business and technical
  • Mentor and enable Marketing and non-marketing stakeholders to adopt SEO best practices
  • Develop best practice documentation to enable internal teams to self-service
  • Work with our growth team and technical SEO to identify possible impacts on SEO during A/B testing and other experiments
  • Own SEO technical considerations across the ecosystem, especially as we migrate Okta.com to Adobe Experience Manager
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and the changing landscape of SEO in the age of AI

What you will bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in SEO - from tactical execution to strategy
  • Knowledge of multiple SEO platforms such as STAT, SEMRush, Lumar, Looker Studio, Tableau, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and more.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Digital Asset Manager
  • Passionate about SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing
  • Ability to communicate complex SEO terms and processes to others not familiar
  • Deep understanding of analytics and reporting tools
  • Excellent at working with multiple technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to create SEO strategies from data to meet business cases, market insights, and requirements for SEO
  • Ability to work with other digital channels and functions such as UX, Digital Strategy, SEM, Paid Media, and website analytics.
  • A desire to have fun, work hard, and drive results for yourself and others

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between: $108,000—$162,000 USD
