We seek a highly skilled and expert **SEO Manager to lead our SEO strategy.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Create and implement comprehensive SEO plans to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic for Cengage Marketing websites
+ Work closely with go-to-market partners to align SEO strategies with business goals and objectives
+ Act as the main liaison with SEO consultants/services to review and enhance SEO plans to improve search engine rankings and ensure alignment with business goals
+ Develop an overarching go-to-market SEO strategy plan for Cengage Group Marketing that considers all business unit marketing websites and regions
+ Work with social and paid media teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts
+ Work with web production owners to implement technical and content SEO strategies
+ Guide content teams with targeted keyword strategies. Create keyword playbooks and train teams on how to implement
+ Identify and work with internal teams to resolve technical SEO issues to optimize website performance
+ Track SEO metrics such as traffic, rankings, and conversion rates, share of voice, competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly
+ Regularly meet and provide actionable recommendations and clear, concise reports to stakeholders on the status of their SEO campaigns
+ Keep abreast of the SEO trends and algorithm updates to maintain competitive advantage
+ Be responsible for the work of the SEO Specialist
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Decision Science, Information Technology or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience as an SEO lead in a fast-paced environment
+ In-depth knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with standard SEO tools (e.g., BrightEdge, Moz, Google Search Console, GA4)
+ Proficiency with Excel
+ Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze large sets of data and use it to guide SEO strategy and decision-making
+ Strong proficiency in data interpretation, reporting, and deriving actionable insights from analytics tools
+ Ability to present data in a clear, actionable way and make recommendations that align with stakeholder objectives
+ Knowledgeable with paid and social media marketing and its impact on SEO
+ Experience collaborating with external experts and vendors
+ Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across a large organization
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex SEO concepts to clients and internal teams
Preferred:
+ Relevant SEO certifications (such from Google, BrightEdge, etc.)
+ Knowledge of Google Ads
+ Agency experience

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

As an **SEO Specialist** with Advance Local focused on Sports Betting and iGaming content, you'll support core business goals by collaborating across key stakeholders to implement SEO initiatives that drive traffic and visibility. **You will be responsible for:**
+ Owning the category reporting and analysis as you become a go-to expert on metrics and KPI's
+ Building multi-level reporting views and workflows that seek to deliver actionable data to team members
+ Industry competitive analysis, providing deep, actionable insights to team members
+ Conducting in-depth keyword research and intent analysis to identify high-value, high-intent keywords
+ Conducting competitive analysis to identify and recommend new techniques and strategies
