As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing consulting services to a dedicated Life Sciences client based in Santa Clara, CA to help achieve the client company's strategic business objectives.
**This is not a remote role and does require onsite presence.**
This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Develop capital plans for various Facilities projects for all stages and be responsible for portfolio management and project execution for a dedicated Life Sciences client. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
+ Interact directly with the client's site lead to manage and lead all projects including preparing all elements of the project, including the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
+ Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
+ Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
+ Ensure project data integrity and documentation are accurate, timely, and coordinated.
+ Direct the project delivery team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
+ Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
+ Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
+ Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
+ Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of own your job subject area and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with at least 5 years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
+ General knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices and the ability to read architectural drawings.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information with a willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The Vice President, Originator is primarily accountable for developing new client relationships in a specified region or business vertical but will also support existing client needs as appropriate. The Vice President (VP), Strategy is accountable for the overall strategic growth objectives of the Silicon Valley Division.
