MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years documented experience in SBHC Food & Nutrition or four (4) years documented equivalent experience
- Knowledge of computer, cash register, and food processing equipment as related to departmental job functions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop or kneel to handle, lift or move objects from floor level to 6 feet above floor level
- Ability to walk or stand for periods of four (4) continuous hours
- Ability to work in under the following environmental conditions:
- The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly responsible to the Food & Nutrition Manager for satisfactory completion of all assigned duties (oral or written), performed to the established standard
- Responsible to the Food & Nutrition Manager for observance of sanitation and safety rules and regulations
- Assists with necessary food service operations during times of emergency
- Deals courteously with the public and maintains an effective working relationship with managers and other employees
- Maintains high standard of work habits, sanitation and safety
- Adheres strictly to the Handbook for School Food & Nutrition Personnel and all guidelines set forth by The School Board of Highlands County Board policy
- Prepares food and / or baked goods as directed by the Food & Nutrition Manager
- Strictly follows recipes and production planning sheets
- Obtains, weighs and measures products from storage areas in a timely manner to ensure present and future menus are prepared correctly
- Plans production with Food & Nutrition Manager to ensure food is prepared in a timely manner, avoiding excessive holding of food
- Direct and train general workers assigned by the Food & Nutrition Manager to assist in food preparation
- Packages and store food products in accordance with food safety standards and advises manager of amounts to be worked into future menus
- Monitors serving line to ensure enough food is available for service and replaces depleted food with fresh product
- Operates point of sale system
- Assists Food & Nutrition Manager with ordering and inventory of products and services utilized by the Food & Nutrition operation
- Assumes responsibility for the Food & Nutrition operation in the absence of the Food & Nutrition Manager or Assistant Manager
- Will take appropriate hours of annual continuing education/training as required by USDA Professional Standards or other such agencies.

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Site Assistant is responsible for assisting with meal planning, preparation, and delivery through Meals On Wheels (MOW), OWBC Seniors Centers, and/or OWBC Head Start programs. Job Description
Will perform routine and non-routine activities that will assist the Superintendent in maintaining organization, order, compliance, and cleanliness on the construction job site. These activities will require physical and mental work, all of which will be at the direction of the Superintendent. The Superintendent will discuss planned activities for the day (planned activities are subject to change).
Essential Functions and Work Duties:
The following essential functions of this position are performed personally, in cooperation with the supervisor, and/or in coordination with other staff. Additional work functions and duties may be assigned.
- Perform the following dust control duties, after obtaining training and certification from Clark County and HAND Construction Company (HCC) in dust control:
- Observe the site daily and always keep it in compliance with dust control standards. Dust control measures will be provided either by a third-party water tuck service or the Site Assistant will perform with the use of a fire and/or garden hose.
- Dust control is also the responsibility of the subcontractor and in some cases they will provide.
- Dust control activities will be included in the daily log of activities.
- Perform the following Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) duties, after obtaining SWPPP training by Clark County and HCC:
- Observe the site daily and keep it in compliance with SWPPP regulations.
- SWPPP permit shall be on file at the job site.
- SWPPP shall be posted on the wall within the job site office/trailer.
- SWPPP devices shall be installed following the plan.
- The plan will be updated/modified to be in conformance with requirements as the site conditions change, or as directed by inspectors.
- SWPPP activities will be included in the daily log of activities.
- Perform the following safety duties, after obtaining safety training by OSHA, HCC Safety Consultant, and HCC staff will be responsible to:
- Observe the site daily and keep it in compliance.
- Special attention shall be paid to fall protection and electrical hazards.
- Walk the entire site looking for hazards such as missing rails, exposed wires, trip hazards, broken glass, trash in walking areas, holes, unprotected trenches, boards with nails, non-compliant electrical cords, areas with overhead workers, need for fire extinguishers, unprotected stakes, or rebar, OSHA approved ladders.
- Safety activities shall be included in daily log of activities.
- Ensure workforce has proper PPE.
- Perform the following security duties, after obtaining security training by HCC. The following activities shall be completed as the first activities every day. Any problems or concerns will be reported to the Superintendent:
- Observe the site daily and maintain perimeter fence, lighting, and be aware of the effectiveness of guard service.
- Security activities shall be included in the daily log of activities.
- Perform the following cleaning duties:
- A clean site and building will be maintained daily, including scheduling dumpster pickup as needed.
- General production and final clean-up are subcontracted with a third-party company. The Site Assistant will always monitor the site for cleanliness.
- Cleaning must be done daily. All areas must be cleaned when the subcontractor does not clean the area; this includes material in pathways, food debris from workers, materials needing to be moved, and general sweeping.
- Cleaning activities will be included in the daily log.
- Perform the following administrative duties as directed by the Superintendent, after obtaining training by HCC:
- Check that specific items are in the building or functionally operating in the building, e.g., counting items to assure that the proper number are in the building; operating windows to make sure they all work; measuring stair risers; and observing membrane penetrations.
- A detailed and precise list of these items will be maintained and updated as to the status of completion.
- Inspect buildings for any items needing installation, replacement, or repair.
- Checking on a variety of items: trusses, shearwalls, holddowns, framing measurements, rough openings, punch list items, etc.
- Perform general labor duties, after obtaining training by HCC:
- Daily there shall be the need for physical labor, whether it is digging a ditch, general carpentry, or whatever needs to be done at the direction of the Superintendent.
- General labor activities will be included in the daily log.
- Responsible for adhering to company and departmental safety policies and complying with all federal, state, and local laws about the operation of the construction site.
- Manpower-logging all subcontractors onsite, and work performed in the daily log.
- Walking for and scheduling inspections with AHJ and 3rd party
- Taking daily and weekly photos of the project, organizing them, and uploading to Procore.
- Reviewing plans and other construction documents
- Punch lists: walking units, common areas, exterior, site and completing punch list forms, collating information, distributing to subcontractors, follow-up, verification of work completion, finalizing forms.
Other Functions and Work Duties:
- Perform other duties as from time to time may be determined necessary for the well-being of the total operation
- Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of work and information

School District 49 is actively seeking a BASE49 Site Assistant. This position works directly with children, ages 5-10, before and after school.

Reports to: BASE49 Manager
Hourly rate of pay: Starting pay is $19.16 per hour to $23.86 per hour depending upon previous relevant experience. Actual starting pay rate will be determined after a review of the work experience provided on the job application.
Full-time or Part-time: Full-time. Employees assigned to this position are scheduled to work up to 6.5 hours per day based on student enrollment and attendance during regular teacher work days. Employees assigned to this position may work up to 8 hours on non-teacher contract days based on enrollment and attendance. If additional hours are worked, they will be extra hours and will not be included in salary annualization. There is no guarantee of days or hours as this position is based strictly on the staff to student ratio needs.

Job Description
Responsible for helping plan and implement the SACC program policies and procedures on site(s), including supervising a small staff of 2-12. Oversee scheduling, customize enrichment activities, handle discipline problem resolutions and act as a liaison between your site lead, your staff, SACC program leadership, school staff, and enrolled families. Help with all areas of program implementation. Fill in for Site Lead when necessary.
Education / Certification:
- HS Diploma / GED
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- 2-years of childcare facility instruction experience OR At least 1-year of experience with CISD or the SACC program
- Experience using a technology such as a personal computer with word processing and spreadsheet software, web-based programming, email, and Microsoft suite programs
The work schedule for this position during the operating school year is everyday school is in session, from 12:30PM-6:30PM. During the summer operation hours may vary between 7:00AM and 6:30PM. A 2-hour monthly department meeting is held in various locations within the district.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
General
- Arrive at childcare site at the designated time each day and remain at the childcare site until the last child is gone and the childcare area has been put in order according to expectations
- Provides and/or coordinates appropriate training for staff and clearly communicates expectations
- Maintain an orderly physical environment conducive to optimal growth and development of children
- Maintain professional conduct at all times, represent SACC and the district in a positive manner
- Other duties as assigned by program leadership or site lead
- Assists in planning and conducting daily age-appropriate enrichment and academic activities for the children in the program that contribute to their care, growth and development
- Assists in planning and preparing materials required to implement the daily activities by ensuring necessary materials, equipment, and resources are available for program implementation
- Assists in managing the distribution and collection of games and materials used in activities
- Assists in directing the organization of facilities and materials at program site(s)
- Keep daily attendance and child release records and convey information to your immediate supervisor
- Report, record, and track staff attendance and time off requests in accordance with policy and assist your immediate supervisor with scheduling additional staff, when needed, in accordance with the required staff/child ratio
- Supervises and trains staff on positive discipline techniques as instructed by CISD
- Disseminates program information to staff
- Assist program operations leadership by keeping current, orderly and complete files of required child and staff records and the supporting site documentation
- Ensure all required postings are current and available for families to review when needed
- Encourage and facilitate ongoing communication between staff and parents
- Follow the program's discipline policy and report persistent behavior problems to program operations leadership and communicate and interact with families concerning discipline related issues
- Communicate regularly with the program operations leadership, staff, and families enrolled in your program(s)
- Communicate with campus staff as needed regarding student illness, attendance, and discipline issues
- Always be present with the children during program hours, except in the case of an emergency
- Follow school procedures and best practices to safeguard the health and safety of the children in the program, which include but are not limited to hand washing, sanitary measures, playground safety rules, rules regarding the use of supplies and equipment
- Become knowledgeable of the school's emergency procedures and ensure proper practices of procedures are conducted on a regular basis or as instructed by the district's safety team
Supervise SACC Site Aides / SACC Subs, Volunteers, and Interns. Participate in the evaluation of staff supervision.
