Summary

The Skilled Laborer is responsible for carrying out logistics, equipment and material handling and assisting with installation of work, all under the direction of jobsite supervisors.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Skilled Laborer will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination, workforce development, or human resources, preferably within skilled trades or vocational training.
• Demonstrated understanding of apprenticeship models and skilled trades industries.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management or CRM systems.

Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: earth tampers, cement mixers, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble, May assist other craft workers.
