Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technology Solutions Developer. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze, design, develop, and implement technology solutions that align with business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software development principles and demonstrate proficiency in coding, testing, and documentation.

Essential Functions:
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement technology solutions or components of solutions, adhering to the development life cycle.
  • Utilize efficient coding techniques to develop, maintain, and support technology solutions while following established departmental standards and specifications.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, test data, and perform unit testing to ensure the delivery of error-free solutions. May participate in system testing under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Collaborate with other developers to address development and performance issues.
  • Provide ongoing customer support by proactively monitoring systems, resolving system/application problems, and responding to inquiries.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain an individual development plan, staying current in development tools, languages, standards, procedures, and company goals.
  • Participate in departmental activities to improve work processes and customer relationships. May assist in orienting new team members or customers in system-related functions.
Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent programming experience required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in developing applications using Microsoft's .NET development environment.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL for data development and processing in SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design and normalization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Access, Visio, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deliverable dates and project schedules.
  • Quick learner with a genuine desire to acquire new skills and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

The developer is expected to work on-base a minimum of 3-days a week collaborating with other on-site developers, researchers, and IT professionals.

+ Ability to hold at least a Secret clearance and obtain access to base.
**Technical Requirements:**
+ Strong ability to develop in C/C++ Ability to quickly learn python or meaningful experience
+ Experience developing code on a timeline
+ Familiarity with object oriented design and design patterns
+ Ability to develop C++ in a manner that uses particular versions of C++ Understanding design of software architecture
+ An understanding of the importance of unit testing and integration testing. Due to the nature of codes written, a high level of unit testing is required
+ Must understand memory management techniques and pointer use. While pointer use is minimized. Many codes in the system must exploit pointers to achieve the required optimization
+ Must be comfortable working in Linux
+ It is a big plus if a developer already has familiarity with some of the skill sets under the autonomy/control description
+ OMS experience if possible
+ AFSIM experience is a plus
+ Experience working with UDP and TCP/IP communication is a plus
+ Experience working with tactical comm systems is a plus
+ Experience integrating against hardware ICDs is a plus
+ Experience with developing code using numerical algorithms and floating point arithmetic is a plus
+ Agile development mindset and experience
+ Must be able to understand code and algorithms to a sufficient degree to implement ideas developed by the control and autonomy teammates
+ Must be comfortable working with git

**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Code, modify, and debug, web-based applications in Java using additional technologies including Spring, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
+ Perform code review of team members to learn new techniques while providing code quality review.
+ Assist in analysis of interacting systems to ensure changes made to one system will not impact other systems. Work closely with the Business Analyst to ensure proper documentation of requirements.
+ Prepare technical specifications and other system and programming documentation in accordance with internal standards.
+ Provide knowledge transfer to Support and Operations personnel related to changes to systems.
+ Work with Quality Analysts to ensure changes are thoroughly tested before release. Write unit and integration tests for new code. Assist with the diagnosis of problematic applications and system testing.
+ Stay informed of advances and pertinent changes in hardware and software technologies.
**Qualifications**
+ Understanding of Object Oriented programing principles, why they work, and how to best use them.
+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ 3 plus years of experience is preferred. Salary/level will commensurate with experience.
