The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.
The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$120,000-$190,000 USD

*As part of Coinbase's Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization, the CXCM (Customer Experience Channel Management) team is on the front lines of revolutionizing how we deliver exceptional support to millions of users globally. We are responsible for managing the agent experience across chat, phone, email, and social channels, empowering customer service agents across compliance and retail business units to operate at peak efficiency.
We design, build, and own platforms that prioritize the customer-first approach while driving agent productivity and maximizing automation. Our team thrives on innovation, creating scalable solutions that not only meet today's needs but also anticipate the future of customer engagement.
Role - In this role, you'll be at the forefront of building complex, scalable applications that directly impact the Coinbase customer experience. You will work on developing and optimizing GoLang backend APIs at scale, while integrating with third-party platforms to ensure seamless operations for our customer service teams
*What you'll be doing (ie. job duties)*
* Build high-performance services using GoLang and gRPC, creating seamless integrations that elevate Coinbase's customer experience.
* Establish and promote best practices in design techniques, coding, testing, documentation, monitoring, and alerting.
* Demonstrate a keen awareness of Coinbase's platform, development practices, and various technical domains and build upon them to efficiently deliver improvements across multiple teams.

*What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):***
* 3+ years of experience as a software engineer and 2+ years building backend services using GoLang and gRPC.
* Be a self-starter, executing complex solutions with minimal guidance while ensuring efficiency and scalability.
* Proven experience integrating at least two third-party applications using Golang.
* Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite or similar cloud infrastructure tools.
* Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ, etc.) and proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases.
* A solid understanding of gRPC, GraphQL, ETL pipelines, and modern development practices.
* Strong command of GoLang, with a deep understanding of how to build scalable, reliable backend services.

* SaaS platform experience

* Applications using OpenAI/ChatGPT
