The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment to attract and hire high-quality candidates across various departments. This role partners closely with hiring managers and the HR team to develop sourcing strategies, ensure a positive candidate experience, and meet the organization's staffing goals in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, resume screening, phone screens, interview coordination, and offer negotiation.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract both active and passive candidates.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, career events, and community outreach efforts.
- Ensure a strong candidate experience through consistent communication and feedback.
- Partner with Sourcers and HR colleagues to manage high-volume or priority openings.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to hiring and employment practices.
- Support onboarding efforts by collaborating with HR and hiring managers as needed.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
- Able to source and identify candidates with understanding of qualification experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of employment law and recruitment best practices.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, using sound judgment to know when to involve others or ask for guidance
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Behavioral Based Interview skills
- Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organization skills with attention to details
- Fast learner able to work in fast-paced environment

Position Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Some college or associate's degree preferred
Experience:
2+ years of high-volume staffing/recruiting background including management of administrative functions related to talent acquisition, preferable in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS); familiarity with Workday preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Office Environment
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

The Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates with the management team to meet the staffing needs by providing support in various recruitment and selection activities including, but not limited to: creating job advertisements, posting position announcements to various sources, screening applicants, scheduling interviews and coordinating pre-employment assessments. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the TA Specialist will also work directly with branch staff to assist with on-boarding, employee relations and to help with various recruiting, diversity and HR projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume recruiting role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to partner with and assist employees at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS/ATS systems
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills to provide structure to a demanding position
- Proven teamwork skills coupled with the ability to work independently
- Strong self-motivation skills and desire to continuously learn
- Ability to travel to various Olympic Steel divisions across the country
