Spencer Hospital Surgery Center performs a multitude of specialties including: general, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, and endoscopy averaging 550+ surgeries per month. Surgery business hours are Mon-Fri with minimal on call weekend and holiday rotations.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure
+ Maintain the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure, and to be constantly vigilant in the maintenance of the sterile field
+ Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
**Requirements:**
+ Graduate of an approved Surgical Tech program. Certification preferred
+ Previous surgical tech experiences performing multiple different specialties preferred.
+ Must have excellent communication skills, caring attitude and be a team player
+ In addition, must be able to multi-task and triage items concurrently
**Schedule:**
+ **60 hours a pay period** (Full-time Benefit Eligible)
+ 10 hour shifts Mon-Fri from 6:30a to 5p
+ On-call nights and weekends rotation
+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department

+ Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision, according to the medical direction of the radiologist

**Requirements:**
+ Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography
+ American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible
+ Registered sonographer with ARDMS
**Schedule:**
+ PRN availability for 9 hour variable day shifts - must be flexible
+ Scheduled on-call rotation for weekend nights and weekends
+ Rotating on-call holidays
+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department

The Spencer Hospital Respiratory Care team provides testing and treatment for all range of patients with pulmonary and cardiac diseases.
**Therapeutic programs include:**
+ Bronchodilator therapy
+ Chest physiotherapy
+ Pre-and post-surgical respiratory care and oxygen therapy
**Diagnostic services include:**
+ Complete pulmonary function testing
+ 24- to 48-hour holter monitoring
+ Cardiac stress testing
+ Oxygen determination and titration
+ Outpatient pentamidine nebulizer treatment
+ Sleep evaluation screening
+ Echocardiograms
**Additional services include:**
+ Ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP management for all patients needing assistance with breathing
+ Smoking cessation education along with metered dose inhaler (MDI) instructions
+ Host routine outpatient clinics with visiting cardiology and pulmonology specialists
**Responsibilities:**
+ Meets expectations in providing care considering age specific growth and development needs and other special needs.
+ Performs and documents respiratory care in compliance with physician orders and in accordance with department policies and procedures.
+ Provides respiratory care as required in the Special Care Unit and the Emergency Room and acts as a team member responding in emergency situations.
+ Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostics and other respiratory skills as required after training.
**Requirements:**
+ Must have excellent communication skills, caring attitude, and a be a team player.
+ CRT or RRT certified, RN or Critical Care Paramedic welcome to apply.
+ BLS, ACLS required. NRP, PALS/PEARS required after hire.
+ Will require yearly validation and job specific CEUs.
**Schedule:**
+ As needed. 24-7 unit.
+ Typically 12 hr shifts - 5:30-6
+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
