REPORTS TO: Grocery Manager / Store Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
To maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the grocery department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Assist in unloading the merchandise.
2) Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
3) Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.
4) Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
5) Assist in building store displays.
6) Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
7) Control level of damaged goods.
8) Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.
9) Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
10) Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.
11) Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
12) Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Maintenance of price and protection program.
2) Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.
3) Assist with front-end service when needed.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1) Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
2) Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
3) Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
4) Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage. The top racking process may be 20% of the time working in the aisles during the shift.
5) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Job Description
**Summary**
The overall purpose of this position is to provide support to the shipping / production departments through inventory control by using handheld scanners, counting inventory in the coolers, reconciling inventory discrepancies, using SAP / CFS programs, computer. etc.
**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
1. Monitor product going into cooler and out of cooler ensuring that the proper scans have been made to ensure inventory accuracy.
2. Complete Daily physical inventory counts and compare to CFS inventory.
3. Reconcile and inventory discrepancies found.
4. Learn SAP and CFS program.
5. Learn all of the principles and functions of inventory control and snapshot compliance.
6. Perform other departmental duties as directed by management or lead person.
**Minimum Education**
High School diploma or equivalent.
**Experience Requirements**
Strong reading, writing, math, computer, and analytical skills are required. Computer skills must include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
**Experience Preferred**
Previous manufacturing experience and /or experience with SAP and CFS are highly preferred.
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
1. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
2. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
3. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent in an office environment located on the production floor. The temperature in the in the office will be approximately 28 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.
4. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent on the production floor to verify accuracy. May be required to handle product that is colder than 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. Exposures primarily consists of wet and moist floors which includes metal and plastic grating surfaces.
6. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
7. May be exposed to noise ranges up to 110db
8. May be exposed to chemicals used in a food processing facility.
9. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
10. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle, weights, heights, intervals of time, object grasped and body positions depending upon the task being performed.
