ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Receive and issue warehouse material.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins.
- Open bales, crates and other containers.
- Input necessary data into the computer.
- Prepare Over Short & Damage (OS&D) and shipping notices.
- Conducts periodic physical inventory of stocked items.
- Coordinate and Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies.
- Count all warehouse stock for inventory control.
- Maintain the warehouse and yard, keeping clean and orderly to ensure items are efficiently stored / displayed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate equipment (i.e. Forklifts, 2 Ton Trucks).
- General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Software, MIMS).
- Prior warehouse experience a plus
- Basic Mathematical and Reading/Comprehension skills
- Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
- Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Freight handling experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- MSHA certification preferred and will be required to obtain
