A brief description of each department is listed below. Most hiring activity occurs on the front end and night crew, but we do hire individuals with previous experience into other departments. What to expect

- In the subsequent months, you will continue taking customer calls to develop and hone your skills. There will be time in the day (away from assisting customers) to join team activities, get well-being support, and career coaching.

INTRODUCTION
The University of Connecticut, School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant Clinical Professor with clinical and teaching expertise in Maternal Health/Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track appointment with an expected start date of August 23, 2025. Under the direction of the Director of Pre-Licensure Programs, the faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses at the Storrs campus; supervise pre-licensure students in clinical work each semester; apprise each student of his or her clinical performance on a regular basis; conduct evaluation of individual students clinical performance via impromptu meetings and planned evaluation conferences; evaluate students written work; and participate in campus laboratory teaching experiences, as required.
UConns School of Nursing is among the top Nursing Schools nationwide. It has 83 faculty members, 760 undergraduate, and 332 graduate students, and actively engages in research in health equity across the lifespan; social determinants of health; parent-child health: support for people with acute and chronic conditions, including symptoms and self-management; and biobehavioral studies of sleep and pain, high risk infancy, and gerontology. The School of Nursing offers the opportunity for faculty to engage with multiple centers including the Center for Advancement of Pain Management; The Nursing and Engineering Innovation Center; and the International Center for Lifestory Innovations and Practice. The Schools Biobehavioral Laboratory provides a wet lab and resources to support behavioral research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctoral Degree, if it is not in Nursing candidates must have a master's degree in nursing.
- Current Connecticut State license as RN (valid as of the date of hire).
- Three years of practice experience in the relevant clinical area.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Completion of required health indicators (MMR titers, TB status, Hepatitis B and others as required by clinical agencies) and CPR at time of employment.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship strategies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctorate in Nursing.
- Previous teaching experience in an institution of higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to scholarship and service.
- Teaching and /or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience.
- Maternal Health/Obstetrics and Gynecology research experience.
- Certified Inpatient Obstetrics.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position subject to annual renewal based on program needs, funding, and performance. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
