- Candidate for this position must demonstrate strong independent thought and decision-making abilities; possess demonstrated leadership skills; be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients/public-agency personnel and in-house staff.
- Candidate's technical experience must include the following: the ability to perform conceptual and preliminary engineering design studies (incorporating land use and zoning considerations, assessment and consideration of site constraints, infrastructure requirements, and potential regulatory issues); preparation/processing of regulatory plans; preparation/processing of public improvement plans; the preparation and processing of hydrologic studies and drainage reports; the utilization of WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD and FlowMaster to analyze utility and drainage designs.
- Candidate must possess AutoCAD Civil 3D experience related to land site development design and plan preparation, including but not limited to: use of feature lines for designing and creating surfaces; creating profiles for offsite roadways and utilities using alignments; use of pipe networks for designing underground utility systems; use of dynamic labels and notes generated by surfaces and underground utility systems.

We currently have openings for full-time CAD Technicians in our Phoenix or Mesa office who will work within a team in our Land Development Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembling construction plans and assisting the design team to submit to reviewing agencies.
- Using company CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings from marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction by engineers/designers.
- Organizing and scheduling work to achieve goals on projects within established budgets and timelines.
- Coordination with engineers and other design team members.
- Publishing/Plotting plans and exhibits as needed.

+ Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, Power Point presentation.
+ Assist with responses to general questions.
+ Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
+ Present solutions to concerns.
+ Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
+ Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
+ Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.

**Qualifications**
+ Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an accredited program.
+ Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
+ Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
+ Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
+ Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills.
+ Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
