Shift Supervisor (SS), Restaurants is responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers with an entrepreneurial, sales-driven spirit for the company. A key priority includes assisting the GM/AM in the daily operation of the restaurant. Under the direction of the GM/AM, this position will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance and completing daily paperwork. Candidates should be able to strategically train and develop a productive store team whose primary focus is promoting our brand while offering exceptional customer service. The SS should inspire and encourage teamwork towards successfully achieving sales goals, upholding daily operations and most importantly, create a fun and energized environment!

Assures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers, responds to customer complaints and solicits customer feedback and input. Regularly coaches team to provide and maintain a consistent high level of customer service.

Maintains a facility that is consistently "inspection ready" in all areas including food preparation, restrooms and all guest contact areas. Complies and maintains all Department of Health, internal company and brand inspection standards. Follows daily Liberty Safety Inspection/Emergency Response Protocols to quickly recognize and remove potential safety hazards to customers, employees and vendors while operating in a manner that does not put company property and assets at risk.

Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances. Responsible for establishing consistent high quality of food preparation and service while maintaining a professional restaurant image.

Assists the GM/AM to ensure that the restaurant has a well trained staff to meet and exceed operational standards.

Under the direction of the GM/AM, the SS is responsible for maintaining inventories and store appearance. Treat inventory as if it is cash. All inventory variances researched, discussed and reported to the GM as early as possible. Makes sure all storage areas are clean and products are well organized and labeled with the date received.

Assists the GM/AM to ensure all shifts are covered and properly staffed. Coordinates daily assignments and activities of associates based on sales.

Assures proper execution of all cash management activities, including accurate cash handling, credit card processing and safety procedures. Any unexplained cash shortage over $5 must be reported to GM or District Manager (DM), Restaurants.

Keep Restaurant in compliance with all Brand standards.

Maintain and ensure a safe clean work environment.

Pass all internal operations training and paperwork audit.

Ensure all brand sponsored inspections are at or above brand standards.

Provide superior customer service to all of our guests.

The Shift Supervisor will also be primarily responsible for receiving deliveries, inputting inventory data, restocking product on the floor, and ensuring that all product remains in FIFO order. The Shift Supervisor should mentor, motivate, elevate, and inspire the team by keeping a positive and can-do attitude at all times.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge and strive to train and share that knowledge with other members of the team
    • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with the Store Manager
    • Assist Patient Care Specialists in the consultation of patients to ensure that the employee is empowered and informed on the right product choices by being knowledgeable about how different methods of cannabis consumption affect our patients differently
    • Receive new deliveries in Inventory Room and ensure all manifests are accurate and compliant to map deliveries in MJ Freeway. Report any delivery discrepencies immediately to G/P & Inventory Manager to rectify.
    • Complete and appropriately delegate (if applicable) tasks assigned during a scheduled shift:
    • Correct cash handling and discount application
    • Verification of proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for patients
    • Security measures and safety compliance
    • Maintenance of an organized and clean store
    • Support of open communication with the management team and other coworkers
    • Reporting of team member issues or patient situations
    • End of day daily update e-mails
    • Opening and closing duties
    • Work with the Management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including:
    • Lead in the onboarding and training of new Patient Care Specialists in partnership with the Store Manager
    • Able to complete all MOD cash and inventory functions for closing procedures

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
    • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in any field preferred
    • Experience or study emphasis in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality
    • Minimum of 2 years combined dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
    • Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals.
    • High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
    • Must be comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions and decimals, and high-volume cash handling
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

As an Operations Supervisor at our Wegmans Warehouse, you will be responsible for leading incredible customer service and managing daily warehouse operations.
