We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Management Intern to support our supply chain operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in logistics, procurement, inventory management, and data analysis. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to help optimize processes and ensure efficient flow of goods and services.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in tracking shipments and managing logistics documentation
- Support inventory analysis and forecasting activities

The Director, Strategic Supply Chain Management is a global supply chain focal point and primary interface forCelestica's global supply chain organization, processes and procedures. **Detailed Description**
+ Maintains responsibility for all customers in a defined global segment
+ Work closely with Customer to define and implement a supply chain strategy that provides the lowest TCOO.
+ Interfaces with cross functional teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
+ Advices the supply chain management process for customers from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.
+ Ensures all critical high dollar or strategic commodities are correctly quoted by our commodity managers and that they have a robust supply chain strategy in place.
+ Provides supply chain leadership in the analysis of customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers.
+ Works cross functionally to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products.
+ Provides support to Commodity Management teams on contract negotiations.
+ Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.

Department/Position Description:
The Product Management is a portion of the greater Supply Chain Analytics team. We work to build, supply, and support data products that allow the Supply Chain visibility to key performance metrics and operational data for daily decision making. We partner with cross-functional teams and specialized teams to coordinate efforts that insure accurate and timely data feeds to support our partner’s needs across the organization.
Our Mission: We combine data products and technology to deliver high quality long term, sustainable and scalable solution to our customers, while also partnering with IT to monitor data quality and timeliness
Our Vision: Create Supply Chain enterprise data products that allow users to self-serve and includes all of the Vendor to Shelf data they need to make effective decisions so that we improve Supply Chain performance across the portfolio.
During the Spring session, the Co-Op will be responsible for planning, executing, tracking, and closing our Sprints within the team. During these Sprints the Co-Op will learn how to work within a team that is made up of several functional areas, gain an understanding of how research and discovery is a critical step in the development process, and can work with subject matter experts and cross functional business partners. The Co-Op will also have the opportunity to gain understanding of our system connectivity, data availability, and data quality while gaining understanding of how this impacts the Business.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of SQL/Python
- Basic understanding of Agile process (Kanban)
- Basic understanding of a cloud-based environments (Databricks preferred).
- Experience working in a collaborative group setting
- Experience using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and effectively

Interns work on function-specific business projects throughout the duration of the program with the support and guidance of their manager. Interns gain a broader understanding of the business and CPGB industry through guest speakers, customer field experiences, facility tours, and individual / team-based experiences (i.e., one-on-one meetings, team lunch, customer meetings, etc.). Additionally, interns participate as a cohort in numerous leadership development workshops intended to develop and refine professional skill sets.
This is a part-time paid opportunity with potential to convert to full-time opportunity upon graduation based on intern's performance and business hiring needs. Average weekly hours will range from 35-40 hours per week.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Gains exposure to business leaders representing a variety of functions such as Sales Operations, Customer Management, Warehouse, Product Supply Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and Marketing
- Performs day-to-day responsibilities in assigned role to gain experience, develop business acumen, and aid in project work/recommendations
- Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis in the assigned functional area to support business projects and objectives
- Prepares and presents project work/recommendations to business leaders at conclusion of program
- Participates in instructor-led and online learning, intern leadership development workshops, and off-site customer field experiences
- Proficient skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a general understanding of data analysis techniques
- Collaborates, communicates, and develops relationships of trust with others in a way that is professional and impactful
- Asks questions to understand an issue from multiple angles and poses creative solutions to challenges
