Location - Torrance, CA (Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite and 1 day/week remote)
Contract Duration - June 2025 - March 31, 2027
Travel - 5% domestic travel (expenses will be reimbursed)
We are looking for an IT Project manager will support parts applications and administration efforts for various service parts procurement, order fulfilment, and WMS related projects for an automotive manufacturer. The initial project will be for the Supplier Collaboration project on the procurement side, related to EDI transactions for forecasting, purchase order, ASN (advanced shipment notice). This PM will focus heavily on Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects - defining the project, building its comprehensive work plan, and managing to the budget. They will also be tasked with driving project progress while ensuring alignment with IT management. There will also be a focus on providing status reporting to IT and business management as well performing requirements analysis, design documentation, and testing.
The ideal candidate will be a project Manager with solid experiences in the Supply Chain Management area, preferably in the automotive/motorcycle service replacement parts, or other commodity products. This person should be experienced in managing and implementing SCM systems, with some mainframe-interface knowledge. One of the projects that this PM will work on is using the Blue Yonder system, but any other common SCM system experience will be fine (i.e. - Oracle, SAP, etc.).
Duties will include the following:
- Support multiple projects in the Automotive Parts Applications area.
- Plan, Execute, and Close Projects.
- Define the project, building its comprehensive work plan, and managing to the budget.
- Forecast, plan, and manage budget/schedule to ensure project is on track.
- ssemble project plans and teamwork assignments.
- Develop business cases and document project goals, required tasks and resources.
- Drive project progress while ensuring alignment with IT management.
- Track key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources.
- Report on project status (weekly, monthly, quarterly) by providing status reporting to IT and business management.
- Create project and upper- level management presentations.

Required Skills and Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum
- 7 to 10 years of IT work experience
- 5+ years managing Application Development projects
- 5-8 years of Supply Chain Management related experience.
- Broader understanding of the entire supply chain processes from procurement to dealer order fulfilment, with some WMS experiences.
- Solid experiences in the Supply Chain Management area, preferably in the automotive/motorcycle service replacement parts, or other commodity products .
- Must have a good understanding of the overall supply chain management processes:
- Forecasting/ordering to the suppliers and order fulfillment,
- Inventory receiving, storage, and shipping (i.e. WMS)
- Dealer/distributor ordering and fulfillment processes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

**What you'll be doing as a Inventory Control Specialist:**
+ Maintain security and integrity of physical inventory
+ During annual audits, coordinate information and activity with reporting manager
+ Distribute pertinent paperwork as necessary
+ Kits and issues all correct hardware per job and before weldments come back from paint
+ Be readily available to perform other duties assigned by management
+ Perform special assignments as required
+ Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and facility
+ Assist in receiving parts into the MRP system and identify when parts are non-conforming
+ Cycle count inventory and identify root causes for inventory discrepancies

**Job requirements:**
+ Ability to count
+ Must have good organizational skills
+ Must have good verbal and written communication skills
+ Must be able to perform multiple tasks
+ Ability to get along with others
+ Minimum lifting 10 lbs. required, maximum lifting 50 lbs. required
+ Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Preferred 1 year prior warehouse experience
+ Preferred forklift experience (sit down and stand-up forklift are utilized in the warehouse)
+ Blueprint experience is preferred but training will be conducted
