**In this position.**
The position will have overall responsibility for managing the inventory plan for our 200K+ unique products and 700K+ SKU locations. This will include management of our forecasting processes, EOQ/SS settings, TRT/Cycle Time settings, and ticket management as part of the Product Driven Organization process with Enterprise Tech.
In addition, the role will work with Purchasing on developing all-time/long term buy forecasts and the Product Category Management team to ensure we are ready for demand driven by various incentive programs and conquests of new business.
**What you'll do.**
+ Optimization of inventory and fill rate for 200K+ Products and 700K + SKU for all PDC locations within US and Canada including:
+ Forecasting & Inventory Policy (Safety Stock & EOQ)
+ Demand Capture and processing, including impact of large quantity orders, export orders, Retail Inventory Management, and Recall / FSA
+ Track Total Replenishment Time (TRT) and Transportation times for material into and within PDC network, including aging shipments
+ New Model Forecasting
+ All time Buy / End of Life demand forecast, supporting Product Category Management and Purchasing decisions
+ Support Finance team with future business plans and inventory decisions
+ Support local warehouses as needed, including going to GEMBA
+ SAP Service Parts Planning Product Owner
+ Work closely with the Enterprise Tech (ET) team to prioritize FCSD projects, individual developments, and tickets within SPP
+ Own, maintain, and develop test environment jointly with the ET team
+ Develop and design future global eSPP solution
+ Global Harmonization of supply chain practices which support FCSD Global Transformation
+ Support GDIA teams in development and maintenance of tools supporting PS&L
+ AI projects - TRT and All Time Buy optimization

**You'll have.**
+ Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
+ 5+ years experience in large-scale inventory management and supply chain operations
+ Ability to travel to work with Ford Business Solutions team international and domestic

A day in the life
The primary tasks for the Inventory Cost Controller encompass the following:
- Review and validate FMC monthly cost submissions from Central Operations team (idle and pre-deployment categories) across all the countries.
- Open the Rental purchase orders
- Coordinate with Central Operations team on cost discrepancies, ensuring timely escalation resolution and minimal back-and-forth.
- Lead the rental invoice validation Weekly Business Review to manage the rental supplier's escalations
- Manually input Pre-Approval Spend (PAS) data into systems, applying accurate financial codes and resolving submission blockers.
- Track and update Actuals vs. PAS monthly data, analyze deviations, and prepare Finance review inputs.
- Monitor and follow up on purchase order creation, modifications, and closure workflows with suppliers
- Support on weekly/biweekly calls with suppliers to ensure purchase order status alignment and cost submission verification.
- Track approval chain finalization and Coupa system validations, including appropriate ticket follow-up and issue resolution.
- Manage monthly approval creation and uploads, ensuring SLA compliance and accuracy in documentation.
- Collaborate with FMCs to gather updated rate cards and structure them for idle/pre-deployment cost validation.
- Standardize cost templates and optimize processes to reduce manual work and improve reporting efficiency.
About the team
The Fleet Delivery and Redeployment team belongs to the Fleet Procurement and Capacity vertical within EU Global Fleet & Products (GFP). We are responsible for the physical supply chain of all fleet programs (branded vans & cargo bikes, rentals). Our north star is to build a lean and unified supply chain for fleet programs, with end-to-end ownership of the fleet inventory.

The Global Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic global purchasing and sourcing initiatives for a portfolio of critical materials, parts, and services. **What you'll do.**
+ Develop, execute, and continuously refine global purchasing and sourcing strategies for assigned categories/commodities, encompassing competitive bidding, advanced cost analytics, leading complex negotiations, and comprehensive contract execution.
+ Strategically manage the total cost of ownership, quality performance, and on-time delivery for commodities across multiple critical programs, driving efficiency and value.
+ Lead proactive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance) to deeply understand evolving requirements and provide innovative, end-to-end sourcing solutions.
+ Champion the development and implementation of advanced cost modeling tools, negotiation frameworks, and methodologies to drive superior financial outcomes.
+ Cultivate and manage complex, strategic supplier relationships, fostering innovation, ensuring timely delivery, proactive issue resolution, and robust risk mitigation.
+ Continuously monitor global market trends, industry developments, technological shifts, and material indices to proactively identify opportunities for significant cost savings, product enhancements, and disruptive innovation within the supply chain.
+ Lead the development and negotiation of creative, long-term commercial agreements that align with Ford's strategic objectives and foster a culture of partnership and mutual growth.
+ Ensure rigorous compliance with company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and champion sustainable and responsible purchasing practices.
+ Drive the strategic onboarding of new suppliers and implement robust supplier performance management frameworks, including innovation metrics.
+ Initiate, lead, and drive significant continuous improvement and transformation initiatives within the supply chain, challenging the status quo and implementing best practices.
+ Develop, manage, and optimize budgets and resources allocated to purchasing and supply chain initiatives.
+ **Desired Technical Areas of Expertise:**
+ Exteriors - Fasteners, etc.
+ Underbody - Suspension, brakes, transmission / driveline, etc.
+ IPTS - Engine (ignition, valvetrain), Pumps, Exhaust, Radiator, Cooling, etc.
+ Interiors - Driver Interface Area, Instrument Panel
+ Digital Tech - Electronics Low Voltage Modules, Electronics High Voltage, Software, Etc.
+ In the near future Ford could have needs in other commodity areas, including but not limited to those related to new technologies (e.g., autonomous driving, connected services), strategic initiatives, raw materials, or evolving business needs
**You'll have.**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Supply Chain)
+ 5-8 years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or commodity management, with a proven track record of leading negotiations, driving innovation, and managing complex projects.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, diverse materials, and end-to-end global supply chain dynamics, including emerging technologies.
+ Proficiency in advanced analytics platforms, strategic sourcing software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
