Our client, a leading global distributor of consumer goods, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead their operations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage and optimize supply chain activities from anywhere. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory management to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. This includes developing and implementing strategic supply chain plans, managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs), optimizing warehouse operations, and leveraging technology to enhance visibility and performance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, advanced inventory control techniques, and transportation management systems. You will lead a distributed team, foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage relationships and performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Optimize warehouse operations, including layout, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and minimize stockouts/overstock.
  • Develop and execute transportation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Utilize supply chain analytics and technology to drive performance improvements and gain visibility.
  • Lead and mentor a remote team of logistics and supply chain professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing) to align supply chain operations with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on operations.
  • Proven experience in managing warehousing, transportation, and inventory on a large scale.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain best practices, including Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing 3PL relationships and performance.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to thrive and manage effectively in a fully remote work environment.
