Job Description
SAIC is currently looking for a **Systems** **Engineer** to support our Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) team located in Lakehurst, NJ. The System Engineer would be responsible for creating solutions for the integration of system level components and addressing complex problem-solving issues to integrate legacy systems with newer technologies.
An active Interim Secret clearance is required.
**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
+ Coordinate, integrate and assist in the management of technical efforts being performed to ensure that identified needs are transformed into effective and life-cycle optimized systems.
+ Ensure compatibility of all functional and physical interfaces (internal and external).
+ Confirm that the system's definition and design reflect the requirements for all systems elements (hardware, software, data, facilities, etc.).
+ Ensure that engineering efforts follow the Systems Engineering process.
+ Work in a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, contractor, program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
+ Document solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
+ Development and review of various technical documentation, including change management documentation, presentation materials, and white papers.
+ Participate in, and assist in activities for various segments of program execution, which may include Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measures, Technical Reviews, and Modeling & Simulation.
+ Communicate with stakeholders across program offices, fleet and industry stakeholders.
**Qualifications**
**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**
+ Bachelor's and 5+ years of related experience, years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
+ Interim Secret Clearance required.
**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:**
+ Experience in the acquisition and integration of ALRE equipment onto ACS/AAS platforms.
+ Experience interfacing with NAVSEA, USCG, USMC, and MSC desired.

Job Description :
As the SI&T Chief Integration and Test Engineer, you are responsible for driving the integration and test of complex electronic systems for the defense industry. You will need to have a firm understanding of electronic hardware (HW), software (SW), and firmware (FW) components and capability to coordinate with the respective development teams in the integration process. The role is of high-level system integrator, requiring extensive technical knowledge of the architecture, interfaces, and interoperability of complex Radio Frequency (RF) systems and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Additionally, you will need to be a technical leader of engineers, guiding them through complex development processes and driving program execution.
Requires working experience in all stages of the development lifecycle; with emphasis on the Verification and Validation (V&V) stages, Environmental Qualification Test (EQT), through post-production support.
Tactical Role
In your day-to-day work, you will work with and direct system/integration and test engineers in the integration of defense systems, including electronic warfare (EW) and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). You will be responsible for developing integration plans and test procedures derived from system requirements and performance specifications. You will prepare gate review materials, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Integration Readiness Reviews (IRR), and present to engineering management and customer representatives. You will be driving integration and test teams through the Verification and Validation (V&V) phases.
And most importantly, you will be integrating EW and UAS systems! This is a hands-on role managing and developing a team to integrate and test our most critical programs. You will be in the lab troubleshooting issues, working closely with the various design disciplines (hardware, firmware, software) to resolve technical issues. You will work with the program and project teams to lay out schedule and manage labor budgets.
Strategic Role
You will work with the department leadership team to drive infrastructural improvements to system integration development processes and tools. You will participate in Independent Review Teams (IRT) to review and advise on project execution. You may support many projects at once as an advisor to more junior project teams. You will develop training and mentorship programs to train newer-in-role engineers in system integration. You will participate in cross-site information sharing sessions with your peers to help drive common core processes and initiatives that properly encompass EW and UAS Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) needs.
Essential Functions:
+ Manage and guide a team of system integrators, primarily through early life-cycle development.
+ Guide systems through Environmental Qualification Test (EQT).
+ Develop test specifications and execute design verification tests for developmental and production hardware.
+ Coordinate with Systems Engineering Team, Project Engineering Team, Field Test Team and Operations staff to resolve production software issues and reduce cycle time.
+ Develop department processes that align with industry best practices.
+ Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, test procedures, and test requirements.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience Or Graduate Degree and a minimum 10 years of prior related experience.
+ Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
+ 10+ years' experience using high-speed digital and RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, etc.).
+ 10+ years' experience integrating and troubleshooting component level systems, such as RF, power, and/or digital assemblies.
+ 8+ years' experience working in Electronic Warfare (EW) or comparable RF technology field.
+ 6+ years' experience integrating and troubleshooting complex systems / system of systems (SoS).
+ 4+ years' experience leading technical teams through product integration.
+ 4+ years' experience in cost account management (CAM) using a Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Preferred Additional Skills:

+ System Integration Lab (SIL) set up and management experience.
+ Experience coordinating customer demonstration and test events.
