The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC): 120,270.00 - 173,586.00 - 216,982.50 USD Annual

Job Description

The Lead Server is responsible for managing the service floor, coordinating the team of servers, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role ensures that service standards are met, guest satisfaction is achieved, and all server-related tasks are executed efficiently. The Lead Server is also responsible for direction of new staff, addressing customer complaints, and assisting with day-to-day restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Guest Service :

    • Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring guests are satisfied with their dining experience.
    • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.
    • Ensure all servers are attentive to guests' needs, including food and beverage service.
  • Team Leadership :

    • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of servers, ensuring high levels of professionalism and customer service.
    • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, menu changes, and other important information.
    • Assign server sections and manage the flow of the dining room to ensure efficient service.
  • Operational Support :

    • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are correct and timely.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
  • Training & Development :

    • Assist in the directing new servers, ensuring they understand menu items, and service protocols
    • Provide ongoing feedback to servers, helping them improve their performance and guest interactions.
  • Administrative Duties :

    • Assist with scheduling shifts for servers, ensuring proper coverage for peak dining times.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on service improvements.
Qualifications :
  • Proven experience as a server in a luxury resort restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
Physical Requirements :
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, noisy environment.
Preferred Experience :
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Experience with POS systems
