Purpose of Position: Leads enterprise-level technical initiatives supporting business strategy while being accountable for all aspects of IT leadership and successful outcomes of projects, applications, services, and vendor partner relationships.

• Partner with Program Management leadership on project planning and status, ensure proactive risk management via industry-accepted mitigation techniques, and support/drive roadblock resolution.
• Partner with executive leaders to develop a technology strategy and roadmap that supports business goals, including growth and expansion.
• Support Agile development approach and the tools and techniques to be successful in a hybrid environment.
• Guide Enterprise Application and Database Architecture vision across multiple lines of business and deliverables.
• Ensure all compliance measures and certifications are current.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Must have proven experience leading multiple software teams and projects in a hybrid SaaS and self-hosted environment.
• Must have fifteen plus (15+) years’ experience in IT leadership/management roles.
• Demonstrated experience providing innovative leadership, motivation, and guidance required for IT to successfully meet strategic objectives and deliverables in support of business needs.
• Strong recent experience, three plus (3+) years delivering and supporting technology solutions in a combined SaaS, self-hosted, outsourced environment.
• An understanding of health insurance is a plus.

After "A" School, Information Systems Technician Submarines (ITS) will also attend submarine training:
Basic Enlisted Submarine School (8 weeks) in Groton, CT, for training in basic submarine systems. Note that this training is only for Information Systems Technician Submarines (ITS).

The Library District is supported by property taxes and governed by five locally elected Board of Library Trustees. The Position
Under general direction from the IT & Technical Services Manager, the Part-Time Information Technology Specialist:
