Position Overview

This Technical specialist position is part of Embedded software team, will be responsible for the development of software architecture constructs, for new modules including but not limited to software architecture construction, participation in requirements and design development, and ongoing support of software architecture issues.
This position is part of the Controls and Software logic for ECU applications and responsible for software requirements, design, coding, testing, software integration and releases.

Roles And Responsibilities
  1. Development and Validation of control algorithms utilizing embedded software development process
  2. Understand the software architecture strategy and requirements for CAB Ecu's specifically Body Control Module
  3. Should have clear understanding of the V-cycle of embedded development that starts with System level requirement and ends with confirmatory testing on the vehicle
  4. Responsible for the deliverables in the Application Development, Low Level Software Development, Verification and Validation tasks.
  5. Participation in the requirements, design development, and implementation of software solutions
  6. Translate Controls and Software feature needs and requirements into technical requirements for software applications
  7. Ensures development teams follow best practices, coding standards, and technical requirements in line with the Client coding standards.
  8. Guide the software development process through high-level decision making
  9. Define and document software architecture approaches and requirements
  10. Coach and mentor software function development engineers, and other team members
  11. Define design and code standard requirements meeting architecture requirements
  12. Serve as a technical liaison among project managers, developers, and stakeholders
  13. Ongoing support for Resolution of software issues for Field support
  14. Would be responsible to release and deploy the Final Software, should be aware of SW release process
  15. Logging, Analyzing the defects and deviations in project tools for metric analysis.
  16. Performing reviews with the team for executions along with their defects and deviations with respect to requirements.
  17. Experience in optimization methods in software for better quality of product.

Basic Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology
• t least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies
• t least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies

• Master's degree in engineering or engineering technology

The Technical Specialist I serves as an active member of the clinical lab and provides scientific support to ongoing method/assay development and validation. The Technical Specialist 1 Will Do The Following:
  • Assumes responsibility for improvement of existing methods or implementation of new technology of proven validity.
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation of data generated and work performed.
  • Helps in organizing new method validation data, preparation of data for publication and peer review, and participates in formal presentations within EWDx.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree and/or MLT or MLS with 3-5 years of experience in Clinical Laboratory or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience validating assays in a Clinical Laboratory (with CAP/CLIA or New York State accreditation) ideally in Chemistry or Special Chemistry.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills as it requires significant interaction with lab staff and management.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty competently.

The Technical Specialist I serves as an active member of the clinical lab and provides scientific support to ongoing method/assay development and validation. This includes generation of pre-protocol documentation (development/validation plans), conducting experiments, reviewing results, and providing a report on results and conclusions. The Technical Specialist I helps to develop, evaluate, and implement new tests, methodologies, or products for the laboratory under the intellectual and scientific guidance of Laboratory Director and/or Director of Laboratory Operations and/or R&D Scientist. The Technical Specialist 1 will do the following:

    • Assumes responsibility for improvement of existing methods or implementation of new technology of proven validity.
    • Maintains complete and accurate documentation of data generated and work performed.
    • Helps in organizing new method validation data, preparation of data for publication and peer review, and participates in formal presentations within EWDx.
    • Aids in the investigation, installation, evaluation, and purchase of: laboratory equipment, instrumentation, computer software/hardware, new reagent systems, and other specialty items.
    • Participates in the training of laboratory staff in principles of methods and applications within the laboratory. Responsibilities also include addressing customers' concerns, and developing new tests and services according to the EWDx quality system procedures.
Essenial Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for assigned laboratory instrumentation automation improvements and maintenance with strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Investigates, recommends, and performs training on laboratory instrumentation and assays.
    • Recommends and implements processes for improving or maintaining quality, efficiency, and workflow.
    • Coordinates instrumentation purchases and installations.
    • Works with IT to set up and validate interfaces for laboratory equipment.
    • Programs, troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates laboratory equipment.
    • Compiles all required documentation for instrument set up and validation.
    • Writes and reviews validation documentation, training checklists, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance documents.
