General Function: The Technical Buyer will create and distribute POs for machined and casted components, monitor PO status, and adjust the PO delivery dates as needed. The Technical Buyer will answer questions and act as the Liaison for the Supplier. Provide information and support to Manufacturing, Production Control/Planning, Sales and Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and distribute Purchase Orders for assigned components and capable of consolidation in MRP as needed.
  • Capable of reviewing usage history, current requirements, BOMs, and lot size pricing to determine the most optimal purchase quantity.
  • Responsible for on-time delivery of all purchase orders placed.
  • Ensure purchase order confirmations are received for all purchase orders.
  • Expedite / De-expedite orders to meet changing needs in delivery requirements.
  • Act as liaison between Supplier and Belvac.
  • Responsible for disposition and return/disposal of Non-conforming Purchase Parts under buyer code.
  • Monitor supplier pricing changes and coordinate with Commodity Manager / Global Sourcing to minimize cost impact.
  • Work with Supplier to help schedule and prioritize jobs as needed.
  • Stay aware of Supplier's available capacity and move jobs to secondary suppliers as needed to hit required dates.
  • Work with suppliers and Global Sourcing to shift work between suppliers if necessary.
  • Help address Supplier deviations.
  • Monitor and recommend changes to safety stock, minimum order quantities, and lot size order by part or commodity.
  • Responsible for timely distribution and research necessary, with follow-through for all Change Orders received, and Add/delete reactions. Expected to provide cost impact and inventory impact of Add/Deletes, as well as recommendations for disposal, and back-up for proper scrap disbursement.
  • Understand and use Inventory, Manufacturing, Engineering and Financial systems.
  • Aid in achieving cost savings targets while meeting inventory turn requirements.

  • Associate degree in a business or technical field; and a minimum of 5 years of purchasing and/or sourcing experience in a Manufacturing environment - OR -
  • Technical ability to read drawings is required
  • ERP system experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required
  • APICS or SCM Certification is a plus

**Summary**
_Primary responsibility is to perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work on chassis and truck mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, either at the service center or in the field. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a **Principal OR Sr. Principal Payloads Field Service Engineer** to our **International Field Service Engineer** team. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization supporting MQ-4C Triton Program.
This position reports to the Operations team lead within the Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (MS IPT). This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton sensors and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
**Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Provide real time support to flight operations and maintenance addressing any issues related to communications and/or payloads to include MFAS Radar, EO/IR, airborne recorder, and link16 to include fault isolation, remediation, and resolution.
+ Coordinate work with site leadership and confirm that Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs) are in place for all required work.
+ Adhere to checklists and procedures to ensure repeated success. Provide redlines to procedures when necessary.
+ Communicate complex technical issues to local support, the Degrader Action Cell (DAC), Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Support and lead air crew engagement for proper techniques in solving complex analysis of technical problems that arise during operations.
+ Assist with trend analysis as needed for Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Assist Air Vehicle Operator (AVO) with Main Operating Base comms (voice), networks, and other AVO interfaces.
+ Attain and employ expertise across all supported sensor and communications systems.
+ Potentially provide field support at various international sites.
+ **Support assignment at location for a minimum of 24 months.**
** This position requires 6+ months of training on a Domestic Assignment to San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA with some travel to other US locations such as Baltimore, MD and Jacksonville, FL. After training is completed, it is expected that the candidate will be available to deploy to Japan, Italy, United Arab Emirates, or Guam for a minimum of 24 months, based on current business needs. The international location will be selected by Northrop Grumman after training is completed and will be based on timing and available location(s), determined by business needs. Deployment benefits will be communicated once a location is selected. If no immediate international or Guam deployment location is available, the candidate may be relocated to work at one of our core U.S. locations for the immediate future. **
Initially, this position will work a 9/80 shift. **As the program matures, the shifts may become 12-hour shifts that could include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.**

This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton network and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).

+ Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environment, including operations on a flightline, in a hangar, and in command-and-control centers.

+ Communicate complex technical issues to local support, the Degrader Action Cell (DAC), Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).

+ Perform/support review and analysis of supplier design data and definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration.
+ Responsibility for the testing, maintenance, and integration of Comms and Networks equipment to include radio terminals, software loads, switches, routers, and firewalls required to support ground and flight test operations.
+ Work with system admins, maintainers, and onsite personnel to troubleshoot and repair any internal operational issues.
**The selected candidate will be put on a temporary Domestic Assignment and will report to our San Diego, CA site daily prior to international deployment while clearance(s), Visa(s), and other documents are processing. The employee will go through training in San Diego during this period. The expected timeline before deployment is 3-4 months but this will vary.**
