Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft O365 Email Administration in hybrid configuration, Exchange 2019.

  • Serves as an escalation point for critical issues reported through our Incident Response Teams channel, troubleshooting, identification, and remediation of issue in a cross-team environment.
  • Participate in on call support of escalated issues in the infrastructure environment on a two-week rotational basis.
  • Coordinate and Implement change management requests while adhering to strict Change Management protocols.
  • Troubleshooting, identifying, and documenting root causes via IMRCA process (Incident Management Root Cause Analysis).
  • Project planning, ownership, management, and reporting. Projects may vary in complexity and duration. Expected to lead project of all sizes, durations, and complexities from inception to completion.
  • Perform server upgrades, as needed, by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements while following corporate change control and quality control standards.
  • Create and revise system documentation and procedures.
  • Available for after-hours support (evenings and weekends ) to perform system upgrades as needed.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • IIS experience a plus, but not a requirement.

  • Storage administration experience with an understanding of backend Network connectivity (Fabric Interconnects / MDS switching) and Storage administration best practices.

SUMMARY

The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and technical support of D2Ls Brightspace platform and its integrated applications. This role ensures that the LMS aligns with institutional technology policies and supports the Office of Online Learning & Academic Technology. Key responsibilities include configuring system settings, managing updates and integrations, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams. The administrator also supports faculty, staff, and students by managing user roles, resolving access issues, and maintaining course structures to ensure a seamless online learning experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administers and supports the day-to-day operations of the Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) and related academic technologies
  • Designs, delivers, and evaluates training workshops and resources for faculty, staff, and students to promote effective use of academic technologies
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to Brightspace and integrated tools
  • Collaborates with Information Technology Services, Instructional Design, Faculty Development, and Online Learning teams to maintain and enhance academic technology systems
  • Serves as the primary technical liaison with D2L and third-party vendors for issue resolution, system updates, and integration support
  • Manages course and organization creation, enrollment processes, and user role assignments within Brightspace

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated full-time experience in LMS administration, including platforms such as D2L Brightspace, Blackboard Learn, Canvas, or Moodle
  • Possess experience in process mapping, workflow design, and configuration planning for institution-wide LMS implementation and administration
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows Server environments (20122019), Brightspace LTI integrations, directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP), HTML, and integration with student information systems such as Banner
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions with significant impact on departmental operations and management
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply diverse approaches across a variety of technical and operational scenarios
  • Proven experience supporting faculty and end users in the implementation and use of educational technologies within a higher education environment

In-depth review of all replication relationships across the NetApp storage arrays. Ability to identify and resolve any issues with the replication relationships across the NetApp storage arrays for daily clones, mirrors, snaps and vaults, including re-activation and configuration.

Storage Grid experience a plus

Careful review of the environment for non-critical or repetitive warning symptoms possibly indicative of future issues.

Strong problem resolution skills including the ability to drive problem and problem bridges.

Working knowledge of Windows Server, Unix/Linux, Solaris & AIX platforms.

Knowledge of computer networking to include DNS and Firewall.

Automation experience utilizing Ansible and or powershell.

Effectively communicate with internal customers, peers, and managers regarding storage administration issues.

Responsibilities: Analysis and proactive troubleshooting of the NAS environment; Addressing all NAS related events and incidents that occur during the coverage window.

Job Summary: This position creates and oversees the programming and daily activities of technology programming in community and branches.  This position is also responsible for providing direction to staff; overseeing programs and performing community outreach and engagement efforts to increase the use of Library services and programs.  Must strive to meet the Library's mission and exemplify its core values.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, programming or engineering, or other computer or technology-related field; or a bachelor's degree in another area combined with 3-5 years' experience working with the public or students in providing technology-related training or assistance.   

Experience:  

  1. Two years' experience developing curriculum and delivering training programs in a public setting.
  2. One year supervisory or lead worker experience in a union environment. 
  3. Two years' experience organizing programming and training services in a library setting preferred.

Technical Expertise:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluation of this position is based primarily on the performance of the following essential functions, which include, but are not limited to:

  1. Plan and manage the day-to-day operations of technology services in the branches and Tech Van (with some exceptions such as Best Buy Tech Center) including technology programming, maker space, digital literacy, etc. including Studio 525 management.
  2. Coordinate and Support Tech Central on staffing, management, programming and scheduling.
  3. Collaborate with Community Innovations and Creative Technology staff on programming design and implementations.
  4. Collaborate with Branch/Campus Managers supporting various departments and partners to design, plan and implement outreach, programming, training, services and programs.  Develop collaborative relationships with schools, community groups and leaders, political and leadership representatives, etc.  Initiate community outreach, engagement and education efforts to increase the use of Library services and programs.   
  5. Coordinate, schedule, supervise and assign work assignments to staff.  Provide direct supervision of staff including orientation, training, discipline, and performance evaluations.  Comply with collective bargaining agreement(s).  Ensure staff provide exceptional customer service to Library patrons and visitors.   
  6. Maintain the integrity and security of Library assets. 
  7. Coordinate and track repair and replacement of equipment.   
  8. Develop, implement, coordinate, communicate, and ensure adherence to patron use policies and procedures. 
  9. Identify and implement policies, procedures and opportunities regarding program/service needs that affect both internal staff and Library services. 
  10. Market and promote programming and classes.  Prepare promotional material including flyers, booklists and other informational materials.
