DEFINITION

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives general supervision from the Information Technology Manager. Exercises no supervision of staff.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This is the entry-level class in the technical support series and must possess basic knowledge of and skills in server, PC and voice systems or data systems installation, trouble shooting and basic office productivity applications. Initially under close supervision, and in a training mode, incumbents learn current and new hardware and software for voice or data network applications. This classification is distinguished from the Network Administrator in that the latter is responsible for technical and functional supervision of assigned IT support staff, and performs the most complex duties assigned to the function, including analytical work.

Physical Demands

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer who can apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code in languages like Java, Python, and Javascript
