This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Information Technology Consultant: Video Post-Producer, competency level 3, position for the Division of Educational Ventures at Oregon State University ( OSU ).
The Division of Educational Ventures ( DEV ) is a growing, innovative, and collaborative organization with a commitment to providing high-quality online education. The division extends Oregon State University's exceptional learning experiences including microcredentials, certificates, and degrees available to students throughout Oregon and around the world.
The division includes Ecampus, offering over 100 online and hybrid degree programs; the Ecampus Research Unit ( ECRU ), conducting and supporting original research in online teaching and learning; the Corporate and Workforce Education Unit ( CWE ), creating pathways for learners employed by collaborators in business and government; the Center for the Outdoor Recreation Economy ( CORE ), providing workforce development for the outdoor recreation industry; the Open Educational Resources Unit ( OER ), aiding faculty in adopting open course materials; and the Alternative Credential Unit ( ACU ), developing short-form educational opportunities
The Video Post-Producer (Information Technology Consultant, competency level 3) is a classified position within DEV . This position reports directly to the Video Team Manager and is part of the multimedia team. This is a creative position that works collaboratively with a team of video producers, instructional designers, faculty, staff, and others. The Video Post-Producer edits, plans, and organizes video production, and is responsible for ensuring the quality of video and multimedia content is of a high standard. This position may involve some travel both on campus and at times off campus within the state of Oregon for video production when needed.
The multimedia team is part of the Course Development and Training ( CDT ) unit, which provides expertise and support for the development of online and hybrid courses, including instructional design services, innovative multimedia development, and faculty development programming and support.
This position collaborates with other units within the division and works with faculty and administrators to assess how platform technologies can augment students' abilities to meet course learning outcomes. The role collaborates with faculty, instructors, and content experts to identify needs and build long-term positive relationships with colleagues at the university. Within the CDT team, this position will collaborate closely with other multimedia developers, instructional designers, and faculty course developers to ensure high-quality projects and course materials are produced.

Key Responsibilities
40% Video Post Production
+ Reviews produced media and consults with faculty members, subject matter experts ( SME ) and video producers involved in projects to identify video, graphics and multimedia needs for online classes.
+ Edits video and provides revisions based on editorial notes from SME .
+ Helps maintain current - and create new - course materials.
+ Works independently or with a team of collaborators to plan and coordinate with faculty for producing and updating video and lecture content.
+ Ensures WCAG AA Accessibility standards for video production are met by coordinating the transcription and captioning process for all videos produced by Ecampus.
+ Provides technical support to ensure audio, video, and presentation quality meet accessibility standards.
20% Video Production
+ Works independently or with a team of collaborators to plan and set up video equipment for studio shoots, on location field production, live streams, and live events.
+ Operates university equipment to capture video and audio for online course work.
+ Serves as project manager for video productions to ensure equipment availability and space resources.
+ Provides creative solutions to video production needs.
+ Travels on campus and off campus to capture video from students, alumni, faculty, partners, etc.
+ Ingest and document acquired media in accordance with department policies.
15% Project Management/Administration
+ Prioritizes, plans, manages, and distributes multiple video projects with concurrent deadlines.
+ Uses project management systems and communication tools to work directly with collaborators and faculty.
+ Ensures guest speaker talent release records are compliant with university standards.
+ With input from designated leads from Ecampus units, this role will be responsible for creating goals, timelines, and project management documentation for production schedules, team trainings and best practices to ensure strategic priorities and deadlines are met.
+ Monitors status and documents workflow to ensure videos are compliant with closed captioning standards.
+ Posts final productions on video streaming services and uploads transcriptions.
+ Contacts appropriate course development/project participants to schedule and coordinate meetings and supports faculty in providing video and multimedia content for their courses.
15% Student Editor Lead Work
+ Provides lead work, training and assigns project work to student editors.
+ Supporting and troubleshooting technical and editing issues with student editors.
+ Reviews video edits of student workers for quality assurance and standards.
+ Establishes goals for student workers.
10% Professional Development and Service
+ Consults with video team to identify emerging technologies, trends and resources in video production and video hosting, along with making budget recommendations to unit managers and directors.
+ This position serves as a member of the OSU Educational Ventures teams as assigned. Service may include other duties as assigned, such as coverage in absence of others, serving as a representative on university or division committees.
+ The video producer represents the division at professional workshops, conferences, forums, trade shows, customer meetings and other opportunities for constituents and clients. They also share knowledge internally and provide technical cross-training.
What We Require
This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience.
What You Will Need
+ Demonstrated work experience and skills in video editing and motion graphics.
+ Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder or similar software.
+ Experience and skills in video filming and production equipment.
+ Proven project management experience and ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
+ Ability to work collaboratively on a team and across multiple teams/units.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated work experience with process documentation, training or technical writing.

What We Would Like You to Have
+ Bachelor's degree in film, marketing, broadcast journalism or related field, or an equivalent amount of training and experience to obtain the foundation of knowledge and skills in media production.
+ Skilled and/or trained in multimedia design and/or other animation tools.
+ Experience with enterprise level video storage and networking systems.
+ Demonstrates experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software.
+ Experience with color correction.
+ Experience with audio recording, dialogue and music editing, and post-audio workflows.
+ Experience with video production systems, including switching and recording via Blackmagic systems or similar hardware and software.
+ Experience producing content for online learning.
+ Experience working in higher education.
+ Experience with customer service or client relations.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
+ Ecampus currently operates on a hybrid schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays are designated in-office days as well as additional days as needed.

+ This position may require working events after hours or on the weekends.
+ This position may occasionally be required to assist other video producers at locations off campus. During these times the position may be required to pack, transport, unload and set up 20-50lbs. of video production equipment in a variety of working environments.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our data management team inTangent, OR . In the position of theApplied Technology Lead you will leada small team in x-ray quality testing and monitors the daily activity of sampling and testing of sugar beet seeds at each process stage with the goal of maintaining the integrity of testing and the quality of test results to ensure good data about product quality.

Essential Job Function :

  • X-Ray Testing
    • Perform X-Ray analysis of sugar beet seeds.
    • Train and schedule seasonal staff to perform x-ray testing.
    • Validation of x-ray test results.
    • Perform and schedule equipment preventative maintenance (PM) and in-season service as needed.
    • On call for troubleshooting of X-Ray equipment and software and/or to fill in for absent staff.
    • Develop, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for x-ray tests.
    • Maintain flexible working hours during the peak processing season (usually begin of August to end of November).
  • Work with supervisor to determine staffing/scheduling for critical testing periods.
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical moisture meters.
  • Assist in creation, maintenance, and annotation of image datasets.
  • Monitor data validity against data entry errors, testing errors, etc.
  • Assist other team members and support research in the execution of projects during the non-peak season.
  • Data entry using multiple input tools.
  • Cross-train and stay current in all areas of QC testing.
  • Develop, support, and maintain respectful working relationships with all departments.
  • Ensure Company handbook, RGPs and safety policies are followed, and personal protective equipment is used correctly.
  • Occasionally travel and/or drive
  • Meet attendance requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Research experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Strong basic math skills including algebra
  • Reliable work attendance history
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong communication, organization and team leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of seed testing procedures
  • Experience in one or more programming languages- R, Python, SQL, MATLAB, Etc.
  • Key user in LIMS.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data: T-tests, regression, data visualization
