**Responsibilities & Qualifications**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ The Network Engineer shall design, plan, establish, and optimize networks and enterprise network architecture
+ This role shall analysis and design of voice networks, LAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services
+ The successful candidate will work independently or with a team

+ 1+ year of wireless survey/design experience using Ekahau Survey Pro 10 (predictive and AP-on-a-stick designs).
+ 6 months to 3 years of enterprise wireless network design support.
+ 6 months to 3 years of experience supporting Cisco wireless infrastructure in large-scale environments.
**Certifications:**
+ Active BICSI Technician, Installer, or RCDD certification.

+ Works under general supervision developing the requirements to manage a task from inception to conclusion
+ Expert knowledge of the following protocols and services for both IPv4 and IPv6:
+ OSPF, Multi-Protocol BGP, MPLS (L2VPN, L3VPN, VPWS, TE, CSC), Multicast (MSDP, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, Multicast VPN, Quality of Service, VPN Routing and Forwarding and Stateless Firewall Filters.

Job Summary

The Telecommunications Software Engineer at Lynk will be developing a variety of telecommunications applications. The software will initially be tested in our development laboratory and then on the satellite prototype that simulates orbit operations and the software engineer will also be responsible for implementing methods of data acquisition to ensure successful testing, verification, and validation.

The engineer will oversee the technical requirements of the project throughout the entire project lifecycle, assisting with solution development, troubleshooting construction discrepancies, contribute to the overall schedule and budget planning.

+ Support the enterprise architecture, design, development, and deployment of network services in support of government customer; perform and oversee site installations/post installation service and maintenance, technology refresh, develop implementation plans and schedules
+ Research and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, voice, video, data capabilities, and enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives, while complying with the network architecture and design standards
+ Produce SELC project artifacts such as requirements, design documents, diagrams, and other required documentation
+ Troubleshoot network incidents, providing root cause analysis and documenting information in tickets and knowledge repositories, support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts
+ Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies
+ Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation for network configuration upgrades, installations, additions, or revisions
+ Collaborate and capture customer requirements, presenting customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies; assist in the development and management of network architecture diagrams
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 9+ years of relative experience
+ 8570 Compliant certifications (IAM III/IAT III) and CCNA certification
+ Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technology
+ Experience with primary network topologies, LANs, WANs and other common network standards
+ Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS, MPLS
+ Very strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPSEC, and VRF)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ PMP
+ One of the following certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Data Management Pr5ofessional (CDMP), Six Sigma Certification, ITIL4
+ Master's Degree
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
+ The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
