**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Lead the design, implementation, and management of complex telecommunications networks, including voice, data, video, and wireless services.
+ Analyze requirements and define system and network specifications for new and existing projects.
+ Develop comprehensive telecommunications network solutions supporting LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructures.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
**Experience:**
+ 15+ years of relevant experience in DoD network infrastructure design and cable plant infrastructure.
+ 5+ years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering Design and Implementation.
+ 1+ year of wireless survey/design experience using Ekahau Survey Pro 10 (predictive and AP-on-a-stick designs).
+ 6 months to 3 years of enterprise wireless network design support.
+ 6 months to 3 years of experience supporting Cisco wireless infrastructure in large-scale environments.
**Certifications:**

+ The Telecommunications Technician Foreman is responsible for the installation of communications cabling and equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Who You Are

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP USA company, is currently initiating a search for a **Telecommunications Designer** to sit in any of our kW office **(Troy NY, New York, NY, Atlanta GA, Milwaukee WI, Tempe AZ or Herndon VA).** As a Telecommunications Designer with us, you will design Outside Plant Pathways and other building systems including MMR/IDF layouts, Cable Tray layouts, Wireless Access Point layouts, and structured Cabling infrastructure layout to support the Controls Network
Your Impact
+ Work independently to perform a variety of BIM/CAD design assignments supporting multiple engineering disciplines
+ Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D BIM Models using Revit or equivalent BIM program
+ Design low voltage systems for buildings including telecommunications systems, audio visual, security, and electrical/mechanical control integrations
+ Meet required schedules while producing quality work
+ Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control of design packages

Who You Are
The ideal candidate is highly experienced in Revit and AutoCAD and has experience in information and communications technology. Strong communication skills, and an interest in liaising with internal and external design, client and construction team members are also necessary.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 3-5 years of experience designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings

Job Summary

The Telecommunications Software Engineer at Lynk will be developing a variety of telecommunications applications. The software will initially be tested in our development laboratory and then on the satellite prototype that simulates orbit operations and the software engineer will also be responsible for implementing methods of data acquisition to ensure successful testing, verification, and validation.

We build systems fast so the perfect candidate for this role will have significant previous experience designing, developing, and testing telecommunications software on rapid time lines. We are looking for engineers that enjoy a challenge and have a track record of creative thinking to solve unconventional problems.

Core Responsibilities
The Telecommunications Software Engineer will be responsible for design, development, modification, and testing of software that implements the GSM and LTE protocol stacks for our cell tower in orbit. This includes:

• Developing and modifying Linux applications that implement the telecommunications functions required for Lynk's satellite direct to phone services.
• Integrating telecommunications hardware and software systems, particularly software defined radios and Linux servers/computers.
• Implementing inter-application coordination and communications using standard Inter-process communication - IPC mechanisms available in Linux.
• Developing test software and drivers to support unit, integration, and system testing of all telecommunications software functions.
• Writing software in C, C++, or other languages in a Linux environment.

Qualifications

The Mission Critical **Telecommunications Engineer 3** position involves the design, coordination, and implementation of telecommunication structured cabling systems for high density Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven data centers.
The engineer shall be responsible for researching, understanding, developing, and coordinating the engineering solution of the telecommunication cabling, equipment, pathways, spaces, and grounding and bonding for inside and outside plant infrastructure. They will interface with the customers, project leadership, field leadership, other trades, manufacturers, and other telecommunications engineers.
The engineer shall be responsible for producing constructible engineering deliverables that illustrate telecommunications locations on floor/ceiling plans, telecommunications space layout on enlarged plans and elevations, mounting and assembly instructions on detail drawings, point to point cable connections on riser diagrams, telecommunications administration plans, acceptance test plans, acceptance test reports, quality control plans, studies and calculations, list of materials, cabling schedules, operations manuals, and warranties to support the design, installation, and closeout of their projects.
The engineer will oversee the technical requirements of the project throughout the entire project lifecycle, assisting with solution development, troubleshooting construction discrepancies, contribute to the overall schedule and budget planning.
Responsibilities
- Developing, Identifying, Coordinating, and Tracking project requirements
- Coordinating communication connectivity requirements to include backbone and interrack cabling, work area outlet types, cabling media and connector types, system topology, and device locations with the Data and Wireless Networking, Audio Visual, Security, Mechanical, Electrical, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating detailed telecommunications space plans with consideration for Architecture, MEP, and Electronic Systems. 
- Coordinating detailed telecommunications pathway designs to support inside and outside plant cabling infrastructure to include fill calculations, BIM, etc.
- Identifying, writing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI)
- Producing coordinated detailed design and construction drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT based on project requirements and specifications.
- Producing coordinated detailed construction specifications based on project criteria.
- Creating and managing cable run lists/system labeling schedules.
- Creating and managing cable acceptance test plans based on specification requirements.
- Identifying products, creating Bill of Materials, and developing.
- Product Data deliverables that meet the project and system requirements.
- Understanding and implementing the M.C. Dean Quality Control process to ensure all engineering deliverables comply with the project requirements, provide clear and constructible information, and meet M.C. Dean's engineering standards.
- Perform site surveys, produce reports, identify/propose/develop solutions based on observations made on the site. Produce Pre-fabrication designs and test procedures for Pre-Installation and Check Out (PITCO) activities.
- Learn the operation of and lead in the design of active systems to include nurse call systems, public address systems, distributed antenna systems, and emergency phones.
