Position Summary
The Employment Navigator plays a key role in helping participants of the Shaqodoon program successfully transition into employment. This position is responsible for guiding individuals through the job search process, providing personalized career coaching, linking them with training opportunities, and building relationships with employers to create pathways to sustainable employment.
Key Responsibilities
Participant Support
- Provide one-on-one career navigation, including resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Assess participants’ skills, interests, and barriers to employment to create tailored employment plans.
- Facilitate career readiness workshops and group training sessions.
- Support participants in accessing training, certifications, or further education opportunities.
Employer & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities.
- Advocate for participants with employers, connecting them to open positions aligned with their skills and goals.
- Partner with community organizations, training providers, and government agencies to strengthen referral networks.
Program Administration
- Track participant progress and employment outcomes using program databases.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, job placements, and follow-ups.
- Provide regular reports to the Program Manager on participant outcomes and employer engagement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Shaqodoon’s services through feedback and innovative approaches.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
This specialist role is part of a collaborative legal team and will support the Company's business groups across the organization. The role will provide day-to-day advising on the wide array of classic employment law subjects including fair employment practices, hiring, performance management, leave and accommodation, guiding investigations, wage and hour compliance and other workplace subjects. The role will also respond to agency charges and will support employment law related litigation. The role interfaces regularly with HR and business professionals across the organization and reports to the company's lead employment counsel. The role also develops and delivers employment law related trainings to internal clients.
The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator, will have excellent critical thinking and writing skills, and will enjoy working with others but will also be adept at working independently. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a mindset that welcomes growth and continuous learning.
Land O'Lakes Corporate division encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. Qualifications
Required Experience-Education:
- J.D. from accredited law school; strong academic credentials
- 5 or more years of employment law advising experience
- Current membership in at least one state bar; licensed or willingness to become licensed in Minnesota
- The ability to work a minimum of three days per week in the office

**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Define and implement the global employment tax strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving business models, legislation, risk appetite, and technology developments. Lead employment tax aspects of corporate transactions, including business separations, reorganizations, and expansions.
+ Oversee compliance and reporting for employment tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, including Americas, EMEA, and APAC
+ Partner with Payroll, HR, Compensation, Benefits, Corporate Tax, Legal, and Finance to ensure cohesive execution of employment tax policies.
+ Manage International, US Federal and US state employment tax audits, resolve disputes with tax authorities, and address post-filing notice inquiries.
+ Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, including Boards of Directors, senior leadership, and global enabling functions.
+ Partner with local Payroll Leaders to provide guidance, coaching and support on employment tax matters.

**Qualifications/ Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant work experience)
+ Minimum of five years of experience in employment, mobility, and international tax, with a mix of in-house and accounting or law firm experience.
+ Proven experience leading employment tax strategy and operations for large, multinational organizations.
+ Deep understanding of tax risk, compliance frameworks, and global payroll operations.
