The position will support our U.S. Commercial and State/Local Government business, as part of the global Office of General Counsel's legal organization, and will report directly to the Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Employment. This role, as part of a small legal team in the U.S., will provide daily legal counsel on employment-related matters, with the purpose of managing employment-related risk, minimizing legal exposure, supporting compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, PWFA, FMLA, FLSA, leave laws, FCRA and drug-testing law, pay equity, and other employment laws, as well as their state and local equivalents), and facilitating CGI's ability to maintain a positive work environment that aligns with CGI's values and ethical code.

**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
. Provide day-to-day multi-state legal counseling and guidance to Human Resources, Employee Relations, managers and other stakeholders on a diverse range of employment legal issues, including but not limited to employee relations, performance counseling, disciplinary matters, employment claims, compliant leave management, wage and hour issues, safety, and other areas under federal, state and local laws
. Lead and direct internal employment-related investigations, including ethics investigations reported to Employment Legal leadership and Global Ethics
. Manage and respond to EEOC and other government administrative charges, audits, and requests; and manage outside counsel for litigation and certain complex legal issues
. Interpret laws and regulations, research key legal questions, and maintain a current in-depth knowledge with respect to all applicable employment laws, regulations and industry guidance, in order to provide related guidance
. Proactively monitor, track, train and advise on frequent changes in state and local laws to support company compliance
. Provide primary legal support for adverse impact analysis, including for reductions in force and other employment actions
. Train and coach internal clients in order to facilitate their ability to help mitigate future risk
. Proactively and timely update Legal leadership on sensitive matters and elevated risks, trends, patterns and other data points for escalation and action, as appropriate
. Assist Legal leadership in developing, revising and implementing employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure U.S.-wide regulatory compliance, as well as assist in creating customized trainings
. Proactively partner with Legal and HR leadership in developing strategies that mitigate legal risk and drive compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, as well as with CGI's standards of ethics and business conduct
. As assigned, assist with advising other teams such as U.S. Employment Compliance, Contracts, Compensation, Immigration and Global Mobility, Benefits, Security, and Privacy
. As assigned, assist with other relevant duties such as supporting M&A due diligence and integration activities, and global investigations and special projects
**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
. J.D. from a leading and ABA-accredited law school required
. Member of at least one State Bar required, including where currently located
. Preferred 6-8 years of multi-state employment law experience, practicing at a reputable national law firm and/or in-house required
. Experience advising or working in a large technology, consulting, or other professional services company preferred
. Experience with litigation, employee relations, and California employment laws preferred
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Strong ability to work independently with limited required direction, while open to regular collaborative engagement as part of Employment Legal function and with Employee Relations

Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $160,00.00 - $275,000.00.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Workforce Development Manager, the Workforce Support & Employment Specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing BeLit’s workforce development and career readiness goals. This hybrid role blends direct student support with employer engagement, ensuring learners gain the skills, resources, and connections needed to persist in education, transition successfully into training, and secure family-sustaining employment. The Specialist will provide career counseling, job readiness coaching, and case management, while also cultivating and maintaining employer and community partnerships that create strong pipelines to employment. The role requires some evening availability (1–2 nights per week) and occasional travel to partner sites and community events.

Key Responsibilities

Student & Graduate Support

  • Provide one-on-one and group support on career readiness, including resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, job applications, interviewing (with STAR techniques), and soft skill development.
  • Conduct career assessments to identify strengths, barriers, interests, and pathways; help students create and track progress on career maps and action plans.
  • Deliver workshops (in-person and virtual) on career exploration, barrier reduction, and job readiness.
  • Offer case management and barrier-removal support, referring learners to social services, PA CareerLink® and other community partner resources.
  • Guide students through transitions to training programs, apprenticeships, and employment, including application and financial aid support.

Qualifications

**Job Description Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Employment Tax Leader to drive the global employment tax agenda for our organization. This role requires a dynamic professional with deep technical knowledge across employment, mobility, equity awards, bonus compensation and international tax, coupled with the ability to engage and influence across multiple functions and geographies. The successful candidate will lead employment tax strategy and compliance, deliver operational excellence, partner with specialist third parties and represent the company in policy and regulatory matters.
**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Define and implement the global employment tax strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving business models, legislation, risk appetite, and technology developments. Lead employment tax aspects of corporate transactions, including business separations, reorganizations, and expansions.
+ Oversee compliance and reporting for employment tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, including Americas, EMEA, and APAC
+ Partner with Payroll, HR, Compensation, Benefits, Corporate Tax, Legal, and Finance to ensure cohesive execution of employment tax policies.
+ Manage International, US Federal and US state employment tax audits, resolve disputes with tax authorities, and address post-filing notice inquiries.
+ Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, including Boards of Directors, senior leadership, and global enabling functions.
+ Partner with local Payroll Leaders to provide guidance, coaching and support on employment tax matters.
+ Drive employment tax considerations into HR, pension, sourcing, and compensation processes.
+ Develop critical relationships with employment tax service providers and manage these vendors to ensure performance and value delivery.
+ Innovate through the use of technology, including AI, to enhance compliance, efficiency, and data insight.
+ Represent the organization in external regulatory, legal and tax forum
+ Monitor and influence changes in employment tax legislation and policy that impact the business.
**Qualifications/ Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant work experience)
+ Minimum of five years of experience in employment, mobility, and international tax, with a mix of in-house and accounting or law firm experience.
+ Proven experience leading employment tax strategy and operations for large, multinational organizations.
+ Deep understanding of tax risk, compliance frameworks, and global payroll operations.
**Desired Characteristics:**
+ Tax Advisor or equivalent qualification preferred.
+ Minimum of ten year experience in employment, mobility, and international tax, with a mix of in-house and accounting or law firm experience.
+ Experience with multijurisdictional withholding, reciprocal jurisdictions, and day-counts
+ Track record of managing high-impact projects, including separation and stand-up of complex business entities.
+ Technically adept, with ongoing interest in digital transformation (AI in tax, automation, etc.).
+ Pragmatic and solutions-oriented with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
+ Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in complex, cross-functional environments; proven ability to operate successfully across a complex, matrix environment
+ Articulate, adaptable, with excellent inter-personal and cross-cultural skills
+ Skilled in assimilating and interpreting complex concepts and adapting and presenting them to a range of stakeholders
+ Experience influencing at senior levels and across regulatory forums.
+ Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and third-party providers.
**Pay and Benefits:**
+ The base pay range for this position is $152,300 - 205,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 10th, 2025.
