Description
Reporting Relationships: Employment Specialists report to the Director of Social Services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Social Services, Employment Specialists are expected to perform the following principal duties and responsibilities.
- Provide new clients with an overview of AAPCI's employment program philosophy and services at client orientation sessions and/or individual intake meetings.
- Assist clients in attaining their employment-related goals by identifying and referring clients to appropriate services both within and outside AAPCI.

Minimal Qualifications:
Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, mental health counseling, psychology, sociology, education, business, liberal arts, etc.) with at least one (1) -two (2) years' experience or ,

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of New York State and City pay transparency laws. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individuals' competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience and performance in the role.

The base salary compensation being offered for this role is 66,939.60.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the development of an employment network and fostering resources to facilitate job leads for program participants. This position supports the program's goals by providing placement assistance and job readiness training/assistance to participants and all referred clientele.

**Your Role**
You'll serve as the company's lead legal advisor on all U.S. labor and employment-related legal matters at Jet Aviation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and whistleblower claims. You will ensure compliance with all relevant laws and shaping the company's employment policies. You'll collaborate closely with HR and leadership to provide proactive legal guidance, helping to mitigate risk and prevent employment-related issues.
You'll be responsible for:
+ Investigating potential employment law violations, gathering documents, interviewing witnesses, and recommending appropriate resolutions.
+ Representing Jet Aviation in legal proceedings such as administrative hearings, mediations, and court hearings related to employment disputes.
+ Drafting and reviewing key employment-related agreements, including contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and severance agreements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
+ Managing outside counsel for employment-related disputes and legal matters, ensuring that Jet Aviation's best interests are represented.
+ Continuously monitoring developments in employment law and applying new insights to influence policies and strategies.
+ Supporting the broader legal team with corporate governance, commercial litigation, and compliance issues as needed.

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm (40 hours)
A Day in the Life of an Employment Specialist:
As a full-time Employment Specialist, you will positively impact lives by assisting individuals to prepare for, obtain, and maintain competitive, integrated, community-based employment, all while focusing on their person-centered goals.
- Assists the individual with vocational assessment and discovery through home and neighborhood observation, benefits planning, interviews with others, observation of task-based activities, file reviews and other relevant means
- Identifies and recommends work settings using person-centered approach
- Facilitates job readiness classes and other programs as necessary
- Works with individuals on an ongoing basis to develop the work habits necessary to obtain and retain completive employment
- Models appropriate work behavior
- Maintains up-to-date files and completes all necessary paperwork such as personal profile, case notes, service plans, service documentation, monthly summaries, etc.
- Assist employers by providing training techniques and strategies to mitigate the individuals barriers to employment
Who We Are Looking For:
Master's Degree with one year of experience in employment services OR Bachelor's Degree with three years of experience in employment services
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
Must possess a current, valid New York State Driver's License that meets Agency Driver standards.
