**Key Responsibilities**
Provides strategic direction for the Business Management team and may manage managers for multiple customers and regions. Primary interface between sales and BU.
Responsible to forecast, and deliver to booking, revenue and gross margin commits.
Formulates, integrates, and drives division strategy for assigned account(s) and region(s). Responsible for achieving specific Market Share (%) goals.
Understands customer roadmaps and HVPs and ensures product development priorities address HVPs. Positions division products in line with customer/competitive landscape. Key contributor to red teams competitive analysis. Participates in Large Order committee - Provides pricing margin and scorecard details.
Primary point of contact for BU/Division GMs for customer status and strategy. Owns management level customer interaction.
Partners with Sales and other BUs on product(s) pricing structure for order closure. Leads pricing strategy to introduce product enhancements to increase margin. Handles complex negotiations
Directs content preparation and strategy for Customer Technical Review Meetings. Periodically presents state of the business results to BU management.

The Director, Business Management is a key leadership role within Global Technology Solutions (GTS), responsible for developing and executing governance, oversight, and strategic initiatives that enable GTS to operate as a value-driven business function. + Proven expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, chargeback models, and cost optimization in a technology organization.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX).

This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in **Sunnyvale, CA.** This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within Business Management. Each rotation could be in one of the following Business Management roles: Program Control Analyst (PCA), Contracts Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Rates Analyst, Budget Analyst, Financial Planning Analyst, Accounting Analyst, Scheduling Analyst, or an Analyst in a Controller support department.

The Business Manager is the relationship owner for the Amazon Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) Device Manufacturing Services suppliers that provide co-development resources, procure components, design, manufacture and test digital devices in the Emerging Products space

Negotiation Skills - Lead all commercial discussions related to EMS relationships. Able to negotiate best in class contract pricing, terms and conditions on large contracts with suppliers who are exceptionally skilled at protecting thin margins. Exercise good judgement in knowing when and how best to address issues or drive change.
Contract Management - Ensure that the suppliers execute and adhere to the contracts and renegotiate whenever possible to realize benefits from bundling work with Strategic Suppliers. This is not limited to dollars but being able to protect Amazon's bottom line in all aspects - IP, indemnity, confidentiality, etc. as these are all crucial to how Amazon is able to have successful launches (products that "wow" the customer). In the case of an EMS relationship ensure that the contracts protect Amazon's brand and meet customer requirements.
Financial - Responsible for managing the business relationship including contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and claims. Must be an effective negotiator. The value of these supplier engagements can reach the billion-dollar level.
Relationship Builder - Have the ability to engage, influence and arbitrate both the supplier and the Lab126 stakeholder organizations at the operational and Sr. Executive levels. Build excellent business cases and have executive presence.
