The Guest Service Captain orchestrates the service experience for hotel guests while working alongside coworkers to ensure that the site's service standards are met or exceeded. When issues are not urgent, they report information to the manager, provide the facts of the matter and seek instruction for how to proceed.
**Job Details**
**Compensation:** Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $15 per hour plus $- 10 per hour in tips.
**Work Schedule:** The work schedule for this position includes AM, PM, Overnight and weekends.
**Benefits:** Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are also able to enroll in the company's 401k retirement savings plan.

**SUMMARY**

+ Maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, client staff members and coworkers. Acknowledges and greets guests within 30 seconds of arrival to create favorable first and last impressions. Effectively participates in "The Show" and delivers "Aggressive Hospitality" to guests. Addresses guests using the appropriate greeting for the site. - 20%
+ Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. Checks in arriving guests and explains vehicle parking and retrieval procedures. Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure to effectively handle guest complaints and difficult situations. - 20%
+ Uses proper phone etiquette. Posts up in appropriate areas when not assisting guests or completing other tasks. Conducts an effective room presentation when providing bell services for guests. Assists with the delivery and pick up of items to guest rooms. Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries. Maintains a detailed knowledge of the client's facility, including outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main attractions in the area, parking rates, and other pertinent information. - 10%
+ Promotes a teamwork philosophy through leading by example and effective communication skills. Leads the work group in delivering high levels of guest service. Appoints fellow associates to certain routine roles; Assigns coworkers to non-ordinary roles at the direction of the Account Manager. At the direction of the Account Manager, reduces staff during the work shift if business conditions dictate, using an approved method. - 15%
+ Issues claim checks to guests only after receiving vehicle keys and collects vehicle claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Completes ticket information including key tag, guest folio, and location of vehicle, damage surveys and claim check receipt for all vehicles taken into the valet system. Secures all keys on a belt clip or in a locked key box. - 15%
+ Ensures staff are not providing "lift" services to any hotel or hospital guest, only offering a hand for assistance. Checks wheelchairs for safe operation prior to each use and cleans wheelchairs after each use. Protects guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA requirements. Maintains the security of customer financial and identifying information. - 10%
+ Assists the Account Manager as needed to build work schedules and makes calls on behalf of the manager to notify fellow associates of schedule changes or openings. Identifies and collects revenue for all vehicles. Completes accurate cash drop slips and cash drop envelopes. Completes the shift report and other shift paperwork with detail and accuracy. Reconciles revenue and tickets at the end of every shift. - 10%

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
**Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:**
+ Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen
+ Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park
**Work Experience:**
+ Six (6) months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
**Knowledge:**
+ Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
**Skills:**
+ Must be able to drive manual transmission

Provides engineering support to other technical staff, engineers, and project managers for the development, design, construction, and or inspection of structures and facilities for port, marine, and intermodal rail terminal projects in the public and private sector; these facilities may include piers, wharves, port and upland marine terminals, seawalls, dry docks, marinas and other nearshore/offshore facilities. Delivers work products at a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
Your Impact
+ Provide leadership for engineering tasks including collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, survey data, technical reports and drawings, and or other data matrices for project development, design, and construction.
+ Apply higher-order engineering techniques/practices to develop project design requirements, while incorporating marine-practice engineering standards and specifications. This includes identifying project site, design and construction related risks and providing mitigation solutions.
+ Lead development of construction plans and schedules, specifications, and cost estimates for ports and marine projects. Prepare and implement site safety activity plans and coordinate field work activities.
+ Oversee cross-functional teams to execute project work on a mid-level project and/or multiple concurrent smaller projects. This includes working collaboratively with other engineers and larger multi-disciplinary teams, on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects. Tasks include tracking budgets, and progress of milestone activities, as well supporting completion of Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) submissions.
+ Write technical reports, generating complete and concise documentation of findings, using sketches, calculations, excel spreadsheets, technical drawings, and other engineering software (including SAP200 and similar FEM tools).
+ Prepare and give presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external team members as well as clients.
+ Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Complete all assigned trainings.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, from ABET accredited program;
+ 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline with demonstration of marine and coastal design experience (including rehabilitation and new design).
+ Demonstrated ability to complete technical computations/calculations, involving the application of engineering principles to ports and marine structures. Highly proficient in technical writing, engineering software and tools, and engineering fundamentals including statics and logical problem-solving.
+ Demonstrated ability with AutoCAD and SAP2000 and similar tools.
+ Demonstrated ability in design/build processes.
+ Familiarity with building and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
+ Ability to plan, conduct and lead site inspections/ investigations on various aspects of the construction and design of facilities, per applicable regulations and policies.
+ Demonstrated self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. Works independently with minimal oversight and provides guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC procedures.
+ Demonstrated team leadership, including coordinating/directing subconsultants, to consistently complete tasks safely while arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
+ Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and the ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
+ EIT OR Professional Engineering license
+ 3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline with demonstration of marine and coastal design experience (including rehabilitation and new design).
+ Demonstrated experience with REVIT and other related BIM tools.
+ Demonstrated experience with LSDYNA and or other related engineering software.
+ Member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
+ Experience with marine, port, and coastal construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
