The Director and Senior Counsel, Walmart Connect will act as counsel for the adtech, retail media business of Walmart. The role will primarily support both the Marketing department within Walmart Connect (experiential marketing, in store activations, digital marketing efforts, etc), as well as our tech, API and agency partnerships team. This role will handle legal strategy, focus on streaming processes and SOPs for the business (for efficiency and scale), and handle transactional matters and contractual negotiations related to the media offerings of Walmart Connect.

This role currently reports directly into the Vice President and Chief Counsel, Walmart US Growth, who is responsible for overseeing the legal teams supporting Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, Walmart+, Marketing, and Customer Data and Identity.
**What you'll do.**
+ Support the marketing, experiential, and agency/tech partner verticals within WMC.
+ Enhance efficiency and speed to market, by focusing on risk mitigation strategies using processes, controls, templates and SOPs.
+ Use your negotiation skills to advise on, review, draft, and negotiate agreements in support of marketing engagements and third party partnerships.
+ Provide product counseling related to any new adtech products and services to be launched by the business.
+ Be the trusted advisor who responds promptly to complex legal requests, coordinating with the rest of the legal team to deliver practical, timely, and high-quality advice.
+ Use your problem-solving skills to identify and assess business and legal risks, finding innovative ways to mitigate them while achieving product and transactional goals. Effectively communicate complex issues and risks to business leaders, in an easy to understand and succinct manner.
+ Develop and leverage strong relationships and internal partnerships across global governance, the business and other functions to maximize the achievement of business goals.
What you'll bring:
+ A minimum of 7+ years, ideally with marketing, media, adtech and/or technology experience.
+ Significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial and transactional agreements.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Have product counseling experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to work practically and quickly to evaluate risk, solve problems, and make decisions that balance risk, opportunity, and business objectives.
