We are looking for an experienced Director of Supply Chain to join our team in the Fresno Area. In this role, you will oversee critical supply chain functions, ensuring seamless operations from procurement to delivery. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, warehousing, and material control.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks, improve supplier programs, and enhance overall efficiency within the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practices in all procurement and materials management activities.
- Lead negotiations for major contracts and establish long-term vendor relationships to secure favorable terms.
- Partner with production and sales teams to create accurate demand plans that meet customer expectations while optimizing costs.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain a balance between sufficient stock for operations and minimizing obsolete items.
- Propose and execute process improvements to optimize planning, procurement, and warehousing functions across the organization.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.
- Participate in product planning processes to ensure timely procurement of materials for new product launches.
- Utilize reporting tools to provide accurate and timely information that supports production planning and decision-making.
Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or related roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant tools for supply chain operations.
- Strong background in logistics, distribution, and purchasing management within manufacturing or food production industries.
- Proven ability to manage inventory effectively while minimizing risks and costs.
- Familiarity with food safety and service operations in compliance with industry standards.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with experience handling major contracts and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and drive continuous improvements across supply chain functions.

The Manager, Warehouse will ensure a warehouse culture focused on people, safety, service, and cost through meaningful engagements with warehouse associates, best in-class service to customers, and safe and profitable operations. They will use their experience in warehouse operations to manage personnel and drive efficient warehouse operations through the associates they lead, ensuring the safe, accurate and timely receiving and storage of inbound product or selection and loading of outbound product.

The service member must be within the last 12 months of their active-duty contract.** **This is an unpaid, non-benefit eligible internship position in partnership with the DoD SkillBridge program.**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead with a safety mindset that ensures that every US Foods associate remains injury free, always. Champion safety procedures, processes and training to create and maintain a safety-first culture in the warehouse.
- Oversee and develop warehouse associates through one-on-one coaching, training on policy and procedures, assisting in problem resolution when required, and leading by example. Discuss associate performance with Sr. Warehouse Managers and create plans to address gaps.
- Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directing workforce to ensure efficient workflow.
- Direct and supervise the work and productivity of associates within the warehouse department. Drive associate engagement and retention, and create a culture that embodies US Foods values.
- Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring warehouse personnel, in conjunction with Sr. Warehouse Managers. Review performance, coach on productivity and safety targets, and deliver disciplinary action.
- Lead and direct associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks. Oversee the preparation of the warehouse for shipping or receiving on the next shift.
- Monitor operational information, such as "mis-picks" and productivity reports, to ensure the entire shift meets rates and follows preferred methods. Take action through coaching and counseling to correct behaviors.
- On day shift, designate dock locations for inbound carriers. Ensure product is stocked in appropriate location in accordance with food safety and FIFO processes & procedures. Monitor replenishment activity to ensure stock is available for the shipping shift and to minimize the potential for "shorts". Oversee will call.
- Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.
- Work with operations management team to identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in development of an action plan. Analyze the current operations and make recommendations to improve on expense and cost control.
- Regularly inspect facility for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager as appropriate. Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
- Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements are followed.
- Effectively schedule working shifts by leveraging appropriate planning tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
- Other duties assigned by manager.
**SUPERVISION:**
- Direct: Union and/or non-union warehouse on-floor associates (Loaders, Selectors, Receivers, Forklift drivers, etc.)
**RELATIONSHIPS**
- Internal: Warehouse leaders and coworkers; Internal customers across departments (e.g., Sales)
- External: N/A
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution required.
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office).
**Travel:**
-10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.
**Education/Training:**
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
Licenses/Certifications:
- HACCP certification a plus.
- PCQI certification a plus.
**PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:**

As a Zone/Service Center Manager, you will manage all facets of zone/service center warehouse operations including implementation and maintenance of logistics processes, personnel management, inventory management, security, safety, housekeeping, accounting and administrative processes related to warehouse activities, and all other functions designed to meet and exceed zone/service center customer service performance standards.
**Work shift and hours:**
+ Monday - Friday.
+ 7:00am - 4:00pm, or depending on business needs.
**Compensation Details:**
+ The expected rate of pay for this position starts at $85,000 annually, more based on experience.
+ This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
**In this role you will:**
+ Manage all aspects of workforce management including hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring, rewarding, disciplining, and succession planning
+ Train personnel on all aspects of applicable business systems including the use of the system features to improve accuracy and efficiency of all assigned processes
+ Manage and perform activities of employees engaged in loading/unloading, selecting, packing, shipping, receiving and transporting of merchandise
+ Manage incoming and outgoing shipment activity; ensure efficient, accurate, and timely customer service to ensure service goals are attained
+ Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse
+ Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturer instructions
+ Maintain security of merchandise and equipment, and ensure safe working conditions; manage warehouse loss prevention programs; ensure the accuracy of the daily cycle counts
+ Supervise tasks and maintenance required by the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
+ Determine routing of orders; inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, security and direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving dock to storage and work area
+ Compile productivity records for shipping and receiving activities; provide and utilize various performance and status reports including pull times, safety, inventory, equipment maintenance, security and cycle counts
+ Arrange for purchase of warehouse supplies and packing materials using designated Corporate suppliers; implement warehouse layout changes as determined by logistics and Warehouse Management System processes
+ Ensure all warehouse procedures are followed and the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) registration maintained; lead Zone/Service Center Steering Committee
**What you bring to the table:**
+ Minimum 5 years of experience: Extensive supervisory, logistics, and material handling experience required
+ 4 year degree preferred
+ Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials throughout the warehouse, including, but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting materials weighing up to 70 pounds
+ Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturer instructions and safety instructions
+ Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the ability to perform physical requirements, adapt to seasonal changes, significant temperature variations, and inclement weather conditions
+ Ability to abide by safety instruction and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or its equivalent is required
+ Extensive knowledge of warehouse layout, operations, and procedures
+ Experience with SAP; Extensive knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), and related computer applications
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise staff and achieve results through others
+ Exceptional organizational and time management skills
+ Oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to operate and maintain all automated warehouse systems
