What you’ll do:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with various warehouse operations, including loading and unloading trucks, processing furniture, and maintaining the warehouse. This role ensures that furniture is rental-ready for events, tradeshows, or transfers to other districts. The Warehouse Associate will be cross-trained in all aspects of warehousing and may fill different roles based on daily business needs.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks, ensuring no scratches or damage and correct item placement.

Pick, stage, and prepare items for customer delivery or district transfers.

Clean, touch up, repair, or wrap furniture to ensure it is rental-ready or properly protected for storage.

Assemble or dissemble furniture pieces as needed.

Maintain and clean the warehouse, including breaking down cardboard and dumping trash.

Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy, relocating products as needed.

Tag, store, and organize products in the warehouse according to procedures.

Participate in safety meetings, perform daily warm-ups, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Assist drivers on deliveries when needed.

Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority consideration will be given to candidates with more and relevant experience

Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided

Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis or 100 pounds with a partner

Able to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks

The Role
Your day will be varied, challenging, fast-paced and will include the following tasks:
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist in the pulling and staging of inventory
- Unloading containers/van transfers
- Palletize items when needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse space (Ex: open aisles, stacking unused palettes, taking out trash and recycling, etc.)
As a member of The Goods team, you will work with other associates and drivers to complete needed tasks, and report to our Warehouse Manager.

These are the core competencies this role calls for:
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks such as picking, packing, and inventory counting.
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse space
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Physically capable of lifting ~50 lbs and engaging in physical work safely for the duration of the shift; this includes standing, crouching, bending & reaching
- Reliable transportation to our warehouse in East Rutherford, NJ
- Ability to work scheduled hours; regular and consistent attendance is required
- Fluent Spanish speaking skills are a plus!

Unload and receive inbound furniture orders which will require manually moving large, heavy goods.

Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuvering product 150+ pounds unassisted or via team lift.

Use scan technology to document pertinent carton level information, including condition, quantity, and warehouse location of material.

Proactively monitor order management systems to ensure that all orders have been received properly and that detailed descriptions are provided for any Overage/Shortage/Damage issues.

Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate and up to date.

Pick deliveries from inventory and stage them by truck and stop number.
