Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing warehouse related functions of handling merchandise and product incoming or outgoing including shipping, receiving, transferring, stocking, picking, and pulling product for customers, vendors, and branch locations as required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs inbound/ outbound freight handling, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Accurately pick, pack, and distribute sales orders and transfers; maintain inventory accuracy through counts and discrepancy reporting.
- Operate warehouse tools and material handling equipment safely while adhering to SOPs and PPE requirements.
- Load, unload, move and stock materials efficiently; ensure products are secured and documented with proper bills of lading.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in warehousing or related functions
- Strong aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis
This position requires approximately 40-43 hours per week and involves routine physical activity, including:
- Frequent lifting of 25-50 lbs. (up to 100 lbs. occasionally), and pushing/pulling loads up to 300 lbs.
- Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment for extended periods (up to 6 hours daily)
- Regular bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and sustained use of hands, arms, and feet

- Two-years of work experience preferred.

Disrupt Agency are hiring for two warehouse operatives / Logistics Operations associates to join this exciting, creative growing distribution & logistics business based in Niles, Illinois!
The statutory working days each week are Monday to Friday. Working hours are 07:30 to 15:30 each day and you will get to work across a highly automated, technology enabled warehouse management process with embedded Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP Systems; combined with handheld order picking/order management devices to drive efficiency to the entire end to end order process.
The business has a number of e-commerce related sales channels and distribute in bulk to corporate customers as well as on a smaller scale to retail customers (B2C).
The key requirements
- Team player who is reliable, hard working, willing to learn and professional.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and motivation to get up every day in all weathers to work hard and support your team and customers!
- Physically fit and able to lift, climb, carry and move stock/boxes and orders around warehouse.
- You have excellent spoken English language skills and are comfortable and have experience of using office/warehouse technology and systems; WMS, ERP, Handheld devices etc.
- If you hold of have held a forklift licence before then this would also be very useful but not essential as training will be provided.
- You have the full right to work in the USA state of Illinois.
- You live within a short commute of Niles, Chicago. Illinois.
In return you will get to work with a small but highly efficient team and work across all aspects of warehouse Operations and will be given training to develop.

A Day in The Life of a Warehouse Associate
As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for performing warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as general maintenance of assigned areas.

Complete log sheets and handle inbound shipments

Verify supplier returns and enter order receipts

Relocate and consolidate material

Prepare and assemble packing lists

Pack, label, wrap, and load outbound trucks
