Warehouse Associate

Restaurant Technologies, the leading provider of highly innovative and value-enhancing bulk cooking oil management services to the food service industry, is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our growing and innovative team. Our Warehouse Associates are responsible for coordinating warehouse activities of the depot including receiving, loading, warehouse cleanliness and fleet upkeep and maintenance.

Job Summary

A warehouse associate is responsible for coordinating distribution activities of the depot which includes receiving, loading, cleanliness and fleet upkeep, reporting directly to the facility leaders.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Shipping of materials to customers.
  • Weekly receiving of cooking oil tanker trucks
  • Execution of daily Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures.
  • Compile of Corporate return orders
  • Monitor daily warehouse inventories such as cooking oil and mechanical parts while being able to identify items needed.
  • Fleet upkeep to include and adhere to maintenance schedule, loading of daily routes, and routine cleaning of the facility
  • Participate and contribute in the Safety Goal for the facility
  • Delivery truck flow meters require regular verification checks to ensure accuracy and maintain compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards. If a check determines that a meter falls outside the acceptable tolerance, calibration will be required. Additionally, all new trucks entering the fleet must undergo a complete tolerance check and calibration, along with scheduled biannual calibrations in Quarter 1 (Q1) and Quarter 3 (Q3) of both fresh and waste meters.

Education, Requirements & Competencies

  • Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Ability to use a smart phone
  • Must meet Restaurant Technologies' Fleet Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record
  • Carry a minimum of 50 pounds by hand up to several hundred yards by cart
  • Organizational skills and ability to keep things in order strongly desired
  • Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
  • Ability to climb up and down a ladder as high as 20 feet in the air
  • Ability to interpret documents and make suggestions based on information provided
  • Ability to prioritize goals and effectively execute.
  • Ability to partner with Internal Customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Others duties as assigned

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse desired
  • CDL

Location: The RT Depot is located in Rochester, NY 14615

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Compensation: $22.00 per hour or $4.00 per hour w/ CDL

Bonus Potential: 4,000 annual bonus potential (Safety Bonus - up to 1,000 potential per Quarter).

  • Maintains and submits warehouse reports depicting where products are staged within the facility.
  • Verifies that all identified damages and/or count discrepancies have been reported and resolved.
  • Ensures shipment of product within shipping deadline by maintaining contact with internal facility staff. Prepares product for shipment by retrieving Customer product from processed area and staging in shipping area; prepares accurate shipping documentation; loads product into shipping trailers/containers or transfers small packages to delivery service.
  • Ensures timely receipt or shipment of Customer product by assisting material handling activities, loading and unloading trucks.
  • Ensures quality conformance against bills of material as well as visual controlled images.
  • Actively participates and supports Lean and Safety initiatives, as well as daily cycle count programs and other directives, when required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Operate forklift and/or other material handling equipment, as needed
  • Meet department productivity and quality goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Organize and Sort Electronics:Categorize incoming electronic equipment and identify items for resale or disposal.

  • Data Management:Accurately record equipment information into our database.

  • Prepare Materials for Shipment:Remove asset tags, ink cartridges, and other components, then shrink-wrap, label, and band skids for shipment.

  • Support Drivers:Assist with loading and unloading equipment during customer pick-ups.

  • Contribute to Operations:Help keep the warehouse running smoothly by organizing incoming loads and maintaining an efficient sort area.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 40 pound objects frequently

  • Climbing ladders

  • Pushing and pulling equipment using a pallet jack

  • Walking and Bending

About the OrganizationEWASTE+ is a R2/RIOS Certified Electronics Recycler ITAD company and a licensed NAID AAA Certified Data Destruction Contractor.

EWASTE+ focuses on the recovery of value from idle, obsolete and excess electronic equipment and operates a large-scale processing facility in Victor, New York (near Rochester) and two regional consolidation facilities in Albany and New York City. In 2025, EWASTE+ expanded its footprint by adding Take 2 Recycling, based in Waterbury, Connecticut, enhancing its service reach across the Northeast.

The company utilizes environmentally sound processing methods that maximize value and recovery while eliminating disposal of electronics in landfills. EWASTE+ has been recognized as a Rochester Top 100 Company for five consecutive years and was a recipient of the Rochester Business Journal Environmental Leadership Award.

Atlantic Plywood is looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team!

The Warehouse Associate will operate a forklift in our distribution center and pick orders using a voice-picking system. They will also assist with shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, as well as other duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Complete daily logs in the inventory system
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow quality control standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

Job Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the US
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. Certified sit-down forklifts are required.
  • Basic computer skills and not afraid of heights
  • Good understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protection equipment (PPE)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team
  • Must have a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
  • Proven working experience with forklifts (previous certification is a plus)
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Knowledge of Lumber, Plywood, and Laminates
