What You'll Do

  • Unload and receive inbound furniture orders which will require manually moving large, heavy goods.

  • Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuvering product 150+ pounds unassisted or via team lift.

  • Use scan technology to document pertinent carton level information, including condition, quantity, and warehouse location of material.

  • Proactively monitor order management systems to ensure that all orders have been received properly and that detailed descriptions are provided for any Overage/Shortage/Damage issues.

  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate and up to date.

  • Pick deliveries from inventory and stage them by truck and stop number.

  • Provide direct input into the existing user tools and make recommendations for improvements based on your everyday experience.

  • Be a vocal contributor on the team.

  • Work effectively with peers and managers.

  • Identify the most efficient way to complete assigned tasks and asks clarifying questions when appropriate.

  • Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you.

  • Be cross trained in other departments and required to perform additional responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted and moving product 150+ lbs. unassisted or via team lift.

  • Must be able to work on warehouse floor 8 hours a day or more.

  • Strong, consistent work ethic.

  • Comfort with scanning technology.

  • Experience in Distribution or Logistics is a plus.

  • Experience working in High Jump is a plus.

  • Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you.

What you will be doing:

  • Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials
  • Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas

    Start Date: ASAP
    Assignment Length: 90 days (NOT temp to hire, but potential for conversion after 3months)
    Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
    Location Details: 100% ONSITE IN A COLD ENVIRONMENT

    *Candidate required to provide their own steel toe shoes. Dress code is jeans (no rips, tears, etc.) and hoodless sweatshirt, recommended. Cargill will provide necessary cold weather gear (coat/hat/gloves)

    Requirements:
    1. Standup forklift experience PREFERRED
    2. Ability to lift up to 100lbs unassisted
    3. Must be able to work in a cold environment CONSISTENTLY - 32/0 degrees
    4. Minimum HS education or equivalent
    5. Candidates motivated for long term, continued employment HIGHLY PREFERRED - please phone screen your candidates!

    Schedule Details:
    1. Training: M-F, 8am to completion usually 5pm, occasionally later)
    2. Normal schedule after training: Sunday (7am to completion, around 5pm), M-Th (3pm to shift end)
    3. OT as needed
    ** Please note the expectation to work until the tasks have been completed for the day, rather than hard-stop end time. As an example if 5pm comes and there is still work to be completed, Cargill expects worker to sometimes stay to complete required daily tasks.
